How not to report a "bug"

I get quite a few of these, and I can't do anything with them, which I'll explain...

On various places, usually IRC, I'll get a PM with a "bug" someone is experiencing. While I truly believe the person is attempting to give me all the information I need to find and resolve it, it's not always that clear to me. Here's an example: I've left out who sent the PM, as s/he isn't the only one who sends me messages like this, and is really just a general reminder.

PM: Anyway, I'm off to bed, now, but tried to post a bug that's pretty important to me...levelling a new crafter! crafting sux w/o ogrecraft. It does one writ then blows up when it can't 'complete' the writ (because the writ auto-completes, now).

So, to me, the part that concerns me is: It does one writ then blows up when it can't 'complete' the writ (because the writ auto-completes, now).

Specifically: because the writ auto-completes, now

Well, this should be pretty easy to find. I log into the game, hit "Start Writs", then wait for it to "blow up" when it finishes the first writ.

Can you guess what happened? After four writs completing perfect, what next? I have no way of contacting this person, and no additional information than it blows up after one writ.
All I can do, is close the PM and mark it as a non-issue.

How to report a bug:
Generally speaking, don't PM me. Feel free to ask/get confirmation from folks on IRC in #Ogre, or ask here on the forums.
Then to actually report the bug, post it on the forums. When I close my IRC client, it closes all my PMs. When I'm working on bugs, I use the bug section on the forums. If you do not post an official bug report, then you're hoping I'll get to it before I forget... :)
