Is ISXEQ2 working atm?

Hi guys. Is isxeq2 up and running again after the Tues morning patch? My patcher keeps unloading and Im assuming its not been updated yet, but Im not sure if I have to do anything specific or just leave it alone and it will update when its ready.

I thought someone might have posted it being still down by now, but havent seen anything, so wondering if its just me.

How long does it normally take for the updates to go in after a patch?

Not trying to be impatient or pushy.. just trying to learn how things work around here :)

It was up the following Thursday - Patch normally and then go back and get the correct EverQuest2.exe file from twonk as directed by the error message in the console.

The last forced patch was on 4.7.2010 and isxeq2 is working for that.

Read the error message that spews in the console and follow those instructions. Or, paste them here and we'll help you interpret it.

thanks for the replies :) .. the last patch a week ago updated normally after a day or so after Amadeus got back, I was watching the forums for updates.. after it patched it worked fine and Ive been using it ever since, but last night (for me.. morning for you guys) they took the servers down for a brief update and ever since, its been saying my version of eq2.exe doesnt match and if its a "patch day" to wait for the update.. I just assumed it must have been an update patch, not just a restart. Ill look into that exe file in a while and see if thats the trouble, although as I said.. it worked fine after the patch last week. As far as I know nothing has changed in my setup since they rebooted the servers 20 hours ago. Ill keep you posted.

well I closed everything down and loaded up the game in "normal" mode (eg not through isx) let it update and closed it down.

I then loaded it up through isx and tried and got the same error message.

I closed it all down, went to the twonk page and downloaded 201004130615-everques2.exe.zip .. installed that into c:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverquestII folder and let it overwrite the file that was already in there.

I opened the game through isx again and tried it and still got the same error.. copy of the entire spam is below.

Not sure what to try next. Any help is much appreciated. .. thanks :)

Ive only had ISX for 2 weeks but I miss it already :p

Download 201004070615-EverQuest2.exe.zip as stated above, that should solve your problem.

And you may have missed the part about NOT patching eq2. If you launch eq2 and the patcher comes up, you are doing it wrong.

Go to your Everquest II file and open it and delete the file EverQuest2.exe not EQ2.exe
then replace it with the one from the twonk looks like this :

201004070615-EverQue..> 07-Apr-2010 06:15 6.3M

not sure how I managed it, but did some creative "cut and pasting" from my laptop (which I managed to get working using the directions on the forums) and finally got it to work.. problem is.. its loading the EU version. I have two chars on there from years ago but normally I log in with the US version. I dont know how to get it to load the US version because Im not getting the normal login screen when I run eq2 through IS so I cant manually change it. Im not game to try anything on my own now for fear of breaking the bot again. Can anyone help please?

Hope this isnt too confusing
