ISX Language?

General question? Wondering what programming language would best prepare me for writing scripts in ISX. I have access through work to one of the major online classrooms and want to take some general courses on programming.

Want to expand my knowledge, and just would like a word of advice from the pros here.

I have found it to be very similar to unix shell programming (bash). It's not terribly different from any other major scripting language so anyone that you pick will benefit you.
