ISXEQ2 Crafting Recipes.

Since the launch of the latest game update, all crafting recipes have been changed from apprentice 4, to journeymans. And Adept 3, to Expert and such. Therefore im encountering problems when trying to craft. Rather then going through every single custom writ, and changing the name. Does anyone know how to update them quicker, or have any they have already done? if so would be greatly appreciated thanks =]

This is something best resolved via the craft script itself. What I'll need are some examples of the writ text as seen in the journal, and the names of the actual recipes it calls for.

I have been assigned my task
I need to create arcane Symphony (Journeyman)
I need to create Makeshifts Arrows (Journeyman)

Thats the writ text copied out exactly

It's annoying, but its an easy fix. I've been adding things into the custom writs.xml

For instance

"Kick VII (Journeyman"
would be
Essence of Kick VII (Journeyman)

Notice the non-closed parathensis? That's what the Craft is doing. So I've been just adding everything to the CustomWrits like I said. No snags after doing so.

Ok, so if craft would stop cutting off that close parentheses, it would be able to find these by prepending "Essence of" to the recipes?

Is this the same with sage and jeweler?

madhater, Valerian is Craft maintainer and he seems to be working on it so I would hold off a little while. To the best of my recollection it is the same for sage, alchemist, and jeweler, but I will post the error here from each when I can get to a computer this afternoon if no one else does.

I actually was checking today for this very issue, another example (if I was at home I would copy and past and not from memory)

quest calls for assault (journeyman)

craft can't find sault (journeyman

For some reason craft parsed off the as from the start of the spellname.

Must be that dang anti-wired203 code :)

guys,

I have been doing sage writs post patch. I have been adding them manually every time. Below are some examples. What is interesting is, each 'writ' has it's own set of requirements. And, 1 spell from your book may be misspelled 2 or 3 ways in different writs (notice Aspect of Darkness is in there 2X). What a mess!!! Below is just for an example.

<Setting Name="Fiery Magician IV (Journeyman">Fiery Magician IV (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="Ursine Avatar IV (Journeyman">Ursine Avatar IV (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="Fortify Elements V (Journeyman">Fortify Elements V (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="Mind's Eye II (Journeyman">Mind's Eye II (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="Netherlord II (Journeyman">Netherlord II (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="t of War III (Journeyman">Act of War III (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="aken Grave III (Journeyman">Awaken Grave III (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="Peaceful Link III (Journeyman">Peaceful Link III (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="Forced Obedience IV (Journeyman">Forced Obedience IV (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="Master's Intervention II (Journeyman">Master's Intervention II (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="pect of Darkness V (Journeyman)">Aspect of Darkness V (Journeyman)</Setting>

<Setting Name="Fae Fire III (Journeyman">Fae Fire III (Journeyman)</Setting>

and as you may be able to imagine, parsing crap out of the text and converting to a valid recipe is not a very simple task. thanks to that sampling, I'll have a better idea of what needs to be tweaked to make it work.

If I could get some actual writ text, it would be more helpful, especially on the ones that seem to be more screwed up than the rest.

Can craft on certain crafters

I noticed I still can craft with my Carpenter, Armorer, Weaponsmith, and Tailor, (not sure bout Woodworker yet haven't tried)without getting that error message. So I think it is safe to say that it is with the ones like Alchemist, Sage, Jeweler is where all the crafting writ problems are. I did notice when I just go make my spells lets say on my Alchemist all the correct names are in there already. I can click on the new spell and it says journeyman or whatever I am making with the new updated name. But when I do writs it is not able to do it because it is not correct in the customwrits.xml file. I dont know if I am stating the obvious but I wanted to make sure someone knew that anyway.

Some of what I got on 80 Alchemist

Unable to find valid recipe for Holy Circle VI (Journeyman
Unable to find valid recipe for Merciless Stomp VI (Journeyman
Unable to find valid recipe for Body Like Mountain V (Journeyman
Unable to find valid recipe for Assault VI (Journeyman
Unable to find valid recipe for Slam V (Journeyman
Unable to find valid recipe for Righteousness VI (Journeyman
Unable to find valid recipe for Heroic Dash VI (Journeyman
Unable to find valid recipe for Call of Shielding V (Journeyman
Unable to find valid recipe for Castigate II (Journeyman

I ran The craft bot like 20 times to see what it called for and these are the ones it called for. I got to ask couldn't we compile a list of spells from each class and wouldn't that give us the names of each spell we need? If there is a way for me to do it to help you let me know I am more than willing, because I love this product.

Some of what I got on 80 Jeweler

Unable to find valid recipe for Vexing Verses VI (Journeyman
Unable to find valid recipe for Ranger's Blade VI (Journeyman
Unable to find valid recipe for Cuss V (Journeyman
Unable to find valid recipe for Daelis' Dance of Blades VI (Journeyman
Unable to find valid recipe for Hunter's Instinct VI (Journeyman
Unable to find valid recipe for Snipe VI (Journeyman

A lot of these had like Deklium Band to make or a belt or something but it was the same drill as the last time. I ran the bot like 15-20 times so it would crash and read the text.

This will be fixed as soon as Amadeus builds the updated craft into the extension. Expect 1-2 more days based on his availability.

Is this the writ text you need Valerian? These are the T8 Alchy ones I found.

I have picked up my work order.
I need to complete the work order within the deadline.

I need to create Assault VI (Journeyman)
I need to create Merciless Stomp VI (Journeyman)
I need to create Heroic Dash VI (Journeyman)
I need to create Righteousness VI (Journeyman)
I need to create Body Like Mountain V (Journeyman)
I need to create Holy Circle VI (Journeyman)
I need to create Castigate II (Journeyman)
I need to create Slam V (Journeyman)
I need to create Hateful Slam VI (Journeyman)
I need to create Call of Shielding V (Journeyman)

If anyone wants a temp fix for T8 Alchy Rush orders, here ya go (yes Assault is purposely misspelled for it to work):

<Setting Name="sault VI (Journeyman">Assault VI (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="Merciless Stomp VI (Journeyman">Merciless Stomp VI (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="Heroic Dash VI (Journeyman">Heroic Dash VI (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="Righteousness VI (Journeyman">Righteousness VI (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="Body Like Mountain V (Journeyman">Body Like Mountain V (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="Holy Circle VI (Journeyman">Holy Circle VI (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="Castigate II (Journeyman">Castigate II (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="Slam V (Journeyman">Slam V (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="Hateful Slam VI (Journeyman">Hateful Slam VI (Journeyman)</Setting>
<Setting Name="Call of Shielding V (Journeyman">Call of Shielding V (Journeyman)</Setting>

I tested all of these and they all add and craft away.

Considering that the extension had NOT been updated when you were posting that it was still broken, you can simply learn to read.

The extension has been updated, and T8 alchemist and jeweler should be working. Sage should be working through all tiers.

Meanwhile, it's still broken, but in a different way. I will be sending a new version to Amadeus to integrate into the extension that should fix the T3-7 Alchemist and Jeweler rush orders (Essence of, Rune of).

my alchy is lvl 62 and the rush writs are calling for cure pots. problem is its crafting the t1 cure pots its not added the exceptinal to the name of the cure pot, any way around this besides changing the t1 cure pot name to make t7?

From the level 34 writ quest "Warped Wood (Rush Order)" I added these on mine:

Setting Name="pristine briarwood bookcase" Briarwood Bookcase
Setting Name="pristine standard feyiron chandelier" Standard Feyiron Chandelier
Setting Name="pristine canopied briarwood king bed" Canopied Briarwood King Bed
Setting Name="pristine ornate end table" an ornate end table

Were all four not found, or only the end table? Unless I'm mistaken, the logic would have correctly detected the first three. We don't want to have crap in the customwrits that is handled by the script itself, since every recipe added will iterate through the entire customwrits file.

Also, when posting these, it is helpful to have correct xml syntax for a copy/paste.

I left out the pointed brackets because I wasn't sure if the forum code would think it was HTML. Later today I can go through them one by one to double check.

I just ran a carpenter through a few days ago and the only one I had to add was the ornate end table.

I had another failure: level 39 writ called for "pristine wooden end table" but the recipe book had: "a wooden end table".

You may want to add a/an to your processing for sure.

<Setting Name="Redwood Long Bow">Redwood Longbow</Setting>

<Setting Name="teak mirror">teak wall mirror</Setting>
<Setting Name="Pristine short militia shelf">a short militia shelf</Setting>
<Setting Name="Antonican ornate end table">an Antonican ornate end table</Setting>

Those above are the ones I added to mine for carpenter that stick out in my mind. There's probably a few more but those stick out.

Didn't really know a good spot to post this but I have a lvl 46 Carpenter and everytime I run the program for rush orders, the program only sets it up for 2 combines out of the 6. Is there anyway to fix this?

Thanks

Quick question on the CustomWrit file - it has a setting within quotes and then a descripter it seems between the setting brackets.

If the craft program says "Cant find a writ for 'Horned Tome' " mainly because it is named "Horned Leather Tome" in the recipe book, how do I correct this and add it to the customwrit file?

Quest name then recipe name in that order as below.
Code:
<Setting Name="Horned Tome">Horned Leather Tome</Setting>
