ISXVG not installing fully

I am a new subscriber and was able to install ISXVG on my main system but on the system I will use it most it doesnt install all the files. It appears to be missing 4 files from the Extensions folder. There are 12 on the install that works and only 8 on the system that doesnt work. Both systems are 64bit and run Vista Ultimate 64bit. Can anyone shed some light on why this could be happening?

I have tried to remove and reinstall both Innerspace and ISXVG but it always only installs the 8 files instead of 12. Also when i do run VG from the non working system it will load vg no console will load and typing tilde will not load it. The keyboard does not work within Vanguard at this point either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After you do the actual install on the system that is not working (so that you make sure it gets in the registry.) Then, just copy the entire Innerspace directory structure from the computer that is working to the one that is not working.

Sounds like you're not running things as administrator. Obviously, if ISXVG is installing correctly on one system and not on another, then it is user error and you'll need to figure out what you're doing differently between the two computers.

Hi security settings on both pc's are exactly the same. I have run the installer as admin on top of that to be sure and it still does not install all the files. I have checked the registry and other then paths to install location the entries are the same. I also did try to copy the full folder from working pc to non working pc but when I ran the program it came up with errors and would not even run. I have done the install exactly as I did on the working pc as well with different results. I am not sure what to think other then there is some security setting maybe that will allow the files to be installed. My antivirus software is the same on both pc's as well and i have even disabled it to see if it was somehow blocking the install.

InnerSpace Update (ISXDK 32)

This new version isn't working for me and everyone else I am currently playing with. It will not automatically load "ext isxvg" at startup because the uplink and relay commands are not working. It is caught in a loop and will not exit. Build 5170 is the last working version.

After following the steps to install this new version (ISXDK 32), rolling backwards to build 5170 now creates an error saying it can't load ISXDK 32 because of incorrect version.

Those that didn't install this new version is working great at build 5170.

Please fix. Its a holiday weekend.

I'm using the latest version of innerspace and the latest ISXVG released without any problems at all.

As far as just logging into vanguard and loading up ISXVG, it works just like it always has worked.

ISXVG version should be 20100719.0017

Innerspace is build 5308.


It will not automatically load "ext isxvg" at startup because the uplink and relay commands are not working

I have no idea what this means honestly. 'uplink' and 'relay' things are related to innerspace so you'll have to ask Lax what that is. However, I do have ISXVG "autoloading" just as the setup walkthrough I have provided explains (starting at http://www.isxgames.com/isxvg/Setup_Step1.html)

What is the exact startup routine that you're doing? did you try turning that off and see if you can just load isxvg manually in the game?

I need more information to recreate this problem.

Ok, now I see the crash. I had to actually log into the game to see it.

It seems to be related to our switch to Visual Studio 2010. I'm not sure how long it will take to fix it.

Ok -- I have updated ISXVG with version 20100719.0058.

It may still be a bit buggy (as this is a fairly complex "duct-tape" job that I did.) So, I will be monitoring the forums for anything that looks like it's a bug caused by the issues related to the upgrade.
