Just a thought ...

I would like to suggest that we review the method for indicating which version of Everquest2.exe a specific ISXEQ2 is compiled against. I think that instead of the date we should use the SOEVersion of the EXE. I am not sure if this is technically possible to automate and thus reduce effort, but it sure would eliminate any confusion with regard to what belongs with what.

The current build of ISXEQ2c (for LU24) is compiled to work with SOEBuild 3167T.
To find the SOEBuild number, right click Everquest2.exe, click properties, select the Version tab and select SEOBuild from the list of items.

If you have the wrong Everquest2.exe then you can get the correct one from the information provided you with your ISXEQ2.

Using the date is the easiest method for everyone involved. There are a lot of people that use ISXEQ2 that barely know how to use their own computer. I don't want to explain to them how version numbers work and so forth.

Besides, it's easier for me as well ...remembering a date is easier than remembering a version number. And, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this system.
