Key to bring up Console

The 4th step of the tutorial says:

4. Load your character into the game world, once loaded hit the tilde ~ (Beside the 1 on the keyboard) and type EXT ISXEQ2

Is there a way to change this key to something else other then the tilde? This is the auto attack command for tanks and after playing for almost 2 years using that key it is going to be hard to learn something else. :dazed:

yes. go to Inner Space Configuration, General tab, and click the Session Startup button on the top right. select Console on the left listbox and edit the command on the right, replacing ` with whatever key(combination) you prefer. I actually use alt+` on mine.

Hmmmm... I changed the "`" on the line to a "\" and it didn't work. The tilde key "`" still works.

it can be a bit tricky to change those commands you have to click the save button before apply and close, or is it apply and close? i can't remember lol...

If there is a save button click that then click apply and then close =) if any of the buttons are missing just ignore em, then it should work with the new key.

Boy, I have tried everything but can not make it work with anything but the ` key. Can someone that is using something different post what their command line looks like? I like Valerins idea of the alt+`.

I think you are editing the wrong place?

Try open Configuration, go to Game Configuration and chose Everquest II.
then choose the Everquest II Game Profile you are using to load IS and EQ2 and click on the Startup button.

If there aren't any entries in the left box, press the Insert button and click on the newly made entry.
Change its name to Console Toggle and the commandline to: relay is1 bind console F12 console toggle

in my case i use F12 to open and close my console. you can ofcourse change it to whatever you'd like to use =) remember to click the green APPLY button before clicking finished

Yes, that was the problem. I was not editing in the correct place. I like your idea of using the F12 key. It doesn't seem to be used for anything else in EQ2.

Yea, my thought as well, then i set F11 to do radar on, that seemed to be a not so wise idea when F11 is used to end various scripts like the eq2pather

Still cant get it to work

Im having the same problem but with vanguard

I downloaded Innerspace then i downloaded isxvg and when i enter the game and hit the tilde key nothing happens, so i tried everything that was posted on this forum and it still doesnt work.

If anyone have any sugestions on what to do or if i have done anything wrong which i dont think i have please let me know.

You need to speak to the folks at LavishSoft (www.lavishsoft.com) since this is an Innerspace issue, not an extension related issue.

I suggest you send an email to the customer support there, or post on their forums.
