With the help of XeonX and Karye I hope to have a new Krambot tested and ready for release in the next 2 weeks.

Things to look forward to:

LavishNav Waypoint System!!!!
Same great melee combat system that is easy to use.
Port UI System
Krambot will now log where you die so with the click of one button you will port back to you TS
Sprint Button

I hope you will be as excited using it as I am testing and working on it :D when it is released.

It has been released. There are some bugs still so consider this a high level beta.

yay!

Since Farmer Brown isnt releasing his bot (in all likelyhood) would you consider incorporating some of his routines, such as 'function castspell' which does a check for the highest spellname availible?
Also, Would you consider adding auto repair/ressurection features, perhaps paths to and from merchants and altars? Adding ressurection code would be nifty, something like
Code:
 * EXAMPLE: An example on how to summon a corpse (given that you are near an altar)
  a. "Pawn[Altar]:DoubleClick"
  b. "Dialog[General,"I'd like to summon my earthly remains."]:Select"
  c. "Altar[Corpse,1]:Summon"
The reason I use FBBot over Krambot 90% of the time (even though it may be dead) is that it allows:
1) Automatic Casting of Highest Level Spell
2) Complex Paths, instead of 3 points.
3) Auto Rapair-Sell with a decent coding job for selling
4) Independent class configurations.
5) VERY user friendly UI, with most variable's set from IN-Game

If you Would include these, I think your bot would have much greater functionality in the long run, in addition to the praise and admiration of the community.

I know it may not be your style to include these functions/features, but I hope you at least consider these. Thanks.

Also, LashNav?? Niiiiiiiiice touch!

I'd be willing to help integrate FBBot and Krambot to make a really great all around bot. I understand Karye is in the process of making a DotNet bot, but as a scripter, I do like being able to easily and quikly modify routines as necessary.

If you would like an extra resource, let me know.

The last update was quite a while ago, and I've emailed Farmer Bob and he hasnt replied to any of my emails, and before today, he hasn't been online in a while. However, I don't want to spread rumors. I don't have any insider information, it just seems like its dying. However, if he says otherwise, i'll stand corrected.

i have the unreleased version of fbbot and it's awsome. he hasn't updated it in like 3 weeks or more. I would share it but I wouldn't do so without his permission. It's glitching on me now anyway =( It doesn't react to some aggro sometimes

Thanks for the suggestions, I am always trying to improve Krambot, but like the old adage goes, go with what you know. I know basic scripting, I know how to play a monk and what a script needs for that class, I know I don't want to try and morph Krambot into FBBot... I also know FarmerBob got back from IRL stuff and will be releasing an update.

Krambot will most likely never do all the things that FBBot does but what Krambot does do, I try my best to make sure it does it very well. Krambot takes some of the tedium out of leveling, it was never meant to be a totally AFK bot so I don't see it doing repairs, selling, rezing.

One thing I do truly want to see in Krambot is an Attack List Filter (blacklisting for those that don't speak PC ;) ) and I may seek FarmerBob's help there or ask him to let me use his code.

I am glad that there is a bot out there that can do all the FBBot can. There will be others that do even more over time. May be Krambot will not be as used in a few months but until then I will try to keep Krambot useful, but with the idea that there is someone at or near the keyboard.

Sorry just straying off abit here.

Fbbot has a new version already that FamerBob is working on. He has limited time and only is able to work on the bot on weekends. I do not know the release of the new version 1.04g ( I think that is what he called it). This new version will include a Harvesting, Skinning, Blacklistingm, Res function, aswell as a few more things I cannot name off the top of my head.

Regards
Matthew

From FarmerBob in IRC Saturday 21April07

This is not a quote, because I do not have the log of that session, however it is close enough, I was in the channel when he made the following statements (in his own words).

He is back, he is working on the next release. You will not see a release of 1.04 in any form, only the beta that got out. The next release will be 1.05. That is per FarmerBob in IRC in #isxvg.

Now, back to the proper topic: Krambot

(It isn't nice to hijack someone else's bot thread, you know.)

Cant wait to see it release Denthan. :) KISS (Keep it Simple Stupid) and I think Krambot fills that roll.

krambot

Great news!

Although I won't use it anytime soon I can't wait to see it. On the casting the highest level spell that FBBot uses, I looked at ripping that out and putting it into krambot. It is fairly simple to do. My only reservation at the time (and it is probably stupid on my part) is I didn't want to do it where I had to iterate through all of the spell levels from highest to lowest.

i.e. If I am level 1 I didn't want to have it go through x many loops until is found the one I can use.

Good luck Den and I can't wait to come back and use it.
