Leveling from 71-80

I have 5 level 80's over 3 accounts and just recently bought another account so that I could 4 box.

The forced quest grind from 70-80 blows for me as I've done it all before and I hate questing. Anyone have any places or suggestions on how I can speed up this portion of my leveling?

I'm with you about questing. One thing to consider, if you plan on doing their epic (and if you don't.. I'd call you some names here), check which faction(s) they need. If they need some RoK, suck it up and do them.

Otherwise, I personally just run as many instances per day as time allows, that lets you adventure it up while getting loot and shards.

Doesn't that require them to be at least 75 so they can get the void shard quests? Also, I doubt that I'd be able to bot most of the instances alone, even with all of my crew being t3 + mythic. Guard/illy/temp isn't enough dps.

Not sure about what level to get the quests.. but I would think you should be able to do a lot of zones with those 3 + a low level. Sure it may be a little slow killing..

Depending on your level of comfort, you could pick up 2 PUG for DPS...

I know the zones scale but I don't know how. It may be possible for you to get a level 70'ish zone then unmentor also. Alternatively, you could raw grind in zones like Seb/chardok/RoK instances. Those 3 could definitely do that no problem.

I have tried the zones botting and it hasn't been pretty. I think the main reason is gear for my below 80s. The instances are worked for people with decent gear. I get eaten in Scion even.

I find that it is aoe's mostly that kill the low level toons, but that was the case as low as SoS.

You should run the RoK instances in the lower 70s. It's not phenomenal XP, but if your new account is RAF within the first 3 months, CoA is quite decent XP, actually.

Thanks for the tip. RAF xp amount should be the new norm. 300% after xp potions is just awesome.

Know this is late but:

Hopefully the new account was created with recruit a friend. The Bonus xp will come in handy if you can just grind quickly up to 50. You will probably want to grind 2 accounts to 50+ and keep them staggered a bit after that.

Use the lowest account to open a instance that mobs respawn at a regular interval. Then once the instance is open drop the lower account and level up the other toon.

If you keep the lower toon under 65 you can use it to open up shard zones for easy farming of shards until you get your t2 set.

You should be able to hit lvl 60 in about 3 days of just grinding mobs.
