So, I have a question.
My group currently consists of a SK, Inq, Warlock, Mage, Coercer, and a Troubie. I have found that in several battles if I joust in the troubie he just melts from the Aoe's. I know I can manually trigger his AoE blocker before jousting in but with the recast timer that would mean out of a 2+ minute fight he gets in melee range for like 20 seconds of the battle. If he just stays jousted out his dps drops from like 80k-100k to the 30k range. He is decently equipped with a combo of Heroic and challenge mode SS gear. I have been running the heroic SS instances we I notice this.
I was thinking about creating some other toons to bot like an assassin but am concerned about the same issue there. Is the melee DPS toons (non tank) melt without their AoE blocker up how can they effectively DPS?
I was curious what the experts do.. Is it just a combination of triggering any AoE blockers you have plus timing jousting? Or is it more of a gear issue?
