Multicore and searching

First, maybe I'm the only one, but I can't get the forums search function to run since the image verification was added. I've tried many, many times with lots of different rendered images, used caps and no caps, etc., and I can't get it to accept what I think the letters/numbers are no matter what. So either I need to go back to kindergarden and learn how to read, or there is something wrong with that new feature.

So ... I will post the question I was trying to find info on.

I have a quad CPU PC, and usually run 2-3 windowed EQ2 sessions at a time. Do I switch the new multicore support off, or keep it enabled. The SOE writeup suggests I need to turn it off, but don't know if playing under Innerspace changes that. If I set it off/on, then do I want to use the "set proc" command or not?

Thanks for any info!

Turn it off. And more appropriately a topic for the ISX boards rather then this one. But the multi core support in game is intended for single instances of the game running on a single computer. If you run multiple copies of the game you will see a negative hit on gameplay with the multi core support enabled.

I think it would take some testing, if you set a pri core at 4 and secondary at 1 for one instance and pri 3 secondary 1 and pri 2 secondary 1 you may be able to squeeze a little more out of your PC. This is largely dependant on wether isx is compatible with how eq2 implemented multicore though.
