Named CAs not working

Not sure what I am doing wrong but none of the combat arts and spells i have setup under the Named CAs tab work, named fight or not.

Is there something else I need to do to get the settings in that tab to work?

Thanks

there is a check box in setting for named ca that has to be checked and also you have to have spells in the named Ca tap.

Hey Kevinship,

I appreciate all the help you've been giving me. Unfortunately though I have an entire cast order in the CA tap and i set that radio butting under settings for named CA, but they just cast one or two in the order then just auto attack the rest of the way.

Not sure why I'm having this odd behavior with the app so far. Wondering if I don't need to force a redownload or something.

I just ran it again and confirmed that when I select named combat arts none of them cast at all. The only thing that fires are the one or two combat buffs I have setup in the combat tab. Other than that nothing but autoattacks.

Put all your spells in the casting order you want in the ca tab not in the combat tab.

Any long recast or special spells put in the Named tab.

If I were you I would clear any spells you have in the combat tab to test it.

Also what class is the toon?

i have two characters that I have tried to set with named cast orders. A zerker and a wizard. Both have the same problem. They react correctly to the normal combat art order. When I change to the named combat art they dont do a thing. And the couple of things i have in the combat tab work just fine when I am using the combat art tab instead of the named combat art tab.

Ok, maybe I am just not thinking about this in the right way? Do you create an entire new order in the named combat tab or just put in the handful of extra big long recast attacks in there?

Also... will the named combat arts not work UNLESS its a named mob even if the setting is selected under settings? Or... will those combat arts go into the rotation named or not, as long as the named combat arts is selected?

Sorry for all the most likely stupid questions. I can easily see the added potential in ogre vs eq2bot. But without this and my other larger camp spot problem going on in another thread, I feel like I am severely limiting the usefulness of Ogrebot for myself.

Thanks again,
T

Ok... got this one figured out at least... apparently I was trying to do too much and create an entire new casting order in the named combat arts tab. adding just the extra big hitters in there i wanted and then enabling both combat arts and named combat arts under settings did the trick.

thanks again for the help everyone,
T

Just to clarify things incase anyone else reads this - The Named Combat Art tab (Named CA) will ONLY work if you are fighting an NPC flagged as a "NamedNPC".
