Been playing eq2 for many years but new to ISXEQ2 and ogre. i have installed the files and when i run the ext ISXOgre command it says,

ISXOgre: Authentication completed.
ISXOgre: OgreBot access level increased to client.
ISXOgre: OgreCraft access level increased to client.
ISXOgre: Starting the new patcher..
OgrePatcher: Getting file manifest from server. Please wait...
OgrePatcher: Debug: Waiting for connection be become active...

Size: 0
OgrePatcher: Loading local settings...
OgrePatcher: Unable to read response.
Size: 0
ISXOgre enabled. Version information: Build date: 2014.03.24, Patch Version: 251

Then when i run the OGRE command it says,

Loading Ogrebot (Embedded)...
Buffer:OgreBot(130): Could not locate file C:/Program Files (x86)/InnerSpace/Scripts/EQ2OgreCommon/DoNotShareWithOthers/EQ2Chars.inc for preprocessing
Preprocessing failed on Buffer:OgreBot

I should also note that in my Innerspace directory under scripts there is not a folder labeled EQ2OgreCommon. I would appreciate any help y'all could give.

I was going to make a comment on how you didn't make it to the second page of the new user walkthrough...

But it's clear that you're not able to connect to the patcher in that copy/paste, so it's possible you didn't get patched...

Do this. Load an EQ2 session, load ISXOgre. If it doesn't patch, type:
ISXOgre:patch

Then see if it patches, or complains about unable to read response like the above.

If it complains, let the session sit IDLE for 5 minutes. Then type: ISXOgre:patch
And see what happens. Report back what happened (and include more copy/paste please).

If you get it to patch, return to the new userwalkthrough (specifically page 2) to fix the eq2chars.inc file, but you need to patch first.

Kannkor,
Thanks for responding so quickly. I have done as you asked and this is the results from the time i started up the Innerspace eq2 profile. I have also turned off all antivirus/malware and firewall software.

Is it possible that my internet connection (Hughes.net) with a ping around 1600mbs is causing a problem?

hmm... It's possible, but I would have expected it to not even auth.

Can you redo the same thing with is1. The patcher by default is set to only patch on IS1. But there is definitely something odd going on there.

Just an update for others having the same problems.

I borrowed a "hot spot" and reran the ogre program and it patched perfectly. Apparently a satellite connection was not sinking properly. I have not yet had an opportunity to see if the software is working correctly on the satellite connection now that it has patched and will post again once i do farther testing.

Very interesting, I'll have to see if I can find out why the auth is working, but the patcher isn't on a non-stable connection. Wonder if I have a timeout set differently or something.

Long story short after many hours of testing. Satellite up-link will not run OGRE or ISKEQ2. Some features will start to work but very quickly will stop for no known reason. switch internet to hot spot and everything works perfectly. Most of my testing was crafting oriented such as "Ogre Craft". Kannkor if you would like to work with me on making it compatible you should have my email address and i will be happy to do what i can. Thank you for all the help thus far.

I suspect the satellite Internet is not very reliable? Meaning inconsistent ping, lag spikes etc.

As once ISXEQ2 and ISXOgre get loaded, there isn't any information they pass to/from the Internet. They just use local information. Now, if you don't have a good connection, that information can be delayed, and thus scripts can fail.

However, I'd need more information about what quickly stops for no reason. What stops.. is there any message in the console etc?
