Ogre follow default problem

I'm not sure how best to explain this except that my default follow and the --- and +++ buttons on my MCP opted to suddenly stop working. Worked great about 8 hours ago and during tonight's gaming session have decided to stop and no amount of relogging, rebooting, or reloading ogre is making them work again.

Could someone please explain to me where to go and what to look for to make sure my settings didn't randomly change? Thanks! :)

Is Ogrefollow still working? and just not the --- and +++ buttons?

Ofollow still works, kind of. The settings don't stick and I have to manually go through and reset it each time I zone or use a transport device like the ones in UD.

Them not "sticking" is normal when you zone, cause character IDs change, and it follows based on an ID, not a named.

Try this...

Hit OFol-Dft

Move a little to confirm people are following, then stop.

Hit OFol--- ONCE. Do they move closer?
Hit it once more, do they move closer?

If not, right click on OFol---, and what options are inside the button?

They'll follow with the default (Yay!) but the --- still does nothing =( They don't move.

Can you be more specific about what is happening.

Are you saying, when you hit the --- button, they stop moving? Or they don't get any closer? They no longer follow? Be as specific and exact as you can be.

How far away from people are you when using come2me?

What used to happen:
Pushing ofol-dft and then --- would make my group move closer to me until they were right on top of me and that's the position they would take up while they were following.

What happens now:
ofol-dft and then --- makes the group follow, but at a normal auto-follow distance. Pushing --- does not make them move any closer. Pushing +++ doesn't make them follow at any greater distance. Its as if --- and +++ don't exist.


So far as Come2me goes, it doesn't matter how close or far away I am from my group. Its as if it doesn't exist. They completely ignore that command and don't move at all.

I've also found that while in combat, if I targeted a non-mob while in combat, my group USED to come back to me and follow me around. Now, I can't move any of my toons while in combat whatsoever. Clicking a non-MOB will not make them return to following me, Come2me doesn't work....its as if all their movement options have been taken away.

How sure are you, Ofol-dft is actually working?

Do this...

Hit it, then on one of your other toons, hit backwards. If Ogrefollow is truly on, you shouldn't be able to move backwards more than a few steps before the bot fights you.
If OFol isn't working at all, (and in-game follow is on), you should be able to move backwards fine.
I logged in 6 toons and tested every combination I could think of, and everything worked. I did it grouped, ungrouped, with targets, without targets, etc.

I'm 100% sure that Ofol-dft is working because its really the only command that IS working. My toons will follow me all day if I'm just running around, but if I try and change that follow distance at all using ++ or ---, make them move while in combat, or make them move by clicking Come2me, they totally ignore it.

Well, I've figured a bit out, I think.

So long as I do not attempt to login by shortcut or auto-load Ogre, everything works fine. If I right-click the innerspace icon to launch EQ2, load only isxeq2 on start up, and manually log in, ext, and load ogre on all 6 toons then everything works like a dream. If I attempt to bypass any step of it (shortcut login or auto load ogre) then those commands don't work at all.

hmm... that doesn't really make any sense at all. If you haven't... I'd try closing down and restarting all your computers, and try again. I'm playing right now as we speak and I always use ogre auto-login. If you are able to, idle on IRC. If I find myself with spare time I'll see if I can TV in and figure it out.

I just wanted to chime in saying that I run mine through ISXBOXER which launches all the EQ2 games from one shortcut or by right-clicking the INNERSPACE icon.

My Ogre Follow works fine using ISXBOXER login.

BTW, if you havent tried ISXBOXER I highly recomend it. Setting background video sizes and CPU core functions is easily configurable through ISXBOXER.

Is there any good videos of setting this up all I have seen was for WOW not EQ2
