The evolution I kept mentioning, is OgreCraft.

To use Ogrecraft, simply type:
Ogre Craft
If you get an error that "craft" character doesn't exist, it means you don't have access. During beta, simply ask me for access (I believe everyone has it).

Wiki link: http://eq2.ogregaming.com/wiki/index.php?title=OgreCraft:Overview

Here is some information about OgreCraft.
First, this is completely unrelated to the original craft rewrite. Amadeus gave me permission (and access) to write OgreCraft to offer an alternative to the built in Craft.

Few things worth mentioning.
Writ limit is still in effect. It's still 10.
OgreCraft was written from scratch. It is not a rewrite of anything.
Limit for writs, is still 10.
OgreCraft was designed with functionality and speed as the primary goal.
* Functionality - 100% reactions. Yes, OgreCraft does NOT miss a single reaction, ever. I'm sure in extreme latency cases it's possible. The other possibility, is a typo. If a typo exists, OgreCraft puts debugging information into the console, AND takes a screen shot of the in-game window. With these 2 pieces of information, I can fix the typo.
* Speed - How about finishing a writ from start to finish in 4 minutes. Buying stacks of fuel every 1/2 second.
A lot of convincence options have been added also. I personally hated leveling from 1-9, and 10-19. It now assists with this process.
You can still only do 10 writs at a time.
While you are crafting a recipe queue, you can be preparing a second recipe queue! Lets take a look at an example. You start crafting 20 arrows. While you are in the middle of crafting them, you realize you need 20 stacks of shurikens for that OP brawler, you can add the shurikens to the "Setup queue" while your "Active queue" continues to craft.
Writs will continue to be capped at 10.
Like everything Ogre, I use IDs instead of names where possible. This goes for Recipes! Now, you are probably thinking how does this help you.. Remember when you were doing adorning, and you have 2 recipes with the same name? Guess what, they BOTH work!
Global settings. When you change any options in the UI, those same options will be there for all of your characters on that computer.
Did I mention, maximum writs is still 10?
In a bot-friendly guild hall (meaning, everything is in the same physical room, they don't have to be piled up, just in the same room), there is NO map required.
In a non-bot friendly guild hall (meaning in different rooms), a map is required, but you do NOT have to name anything. You simply have to run around. (More on this later).
I'll bet anyone 100plat, that I still get asked about the 10 writ limit. Any takers?
A search option that makes me giggle inside. I don't know why.. but it does.

During OgreCraft Beta, anyone with a OgreBot subscription will be able to use and test OgreCraft Beta. I know it'll be asked, what happens after Beta? I don't have an answer at this time. Stage 1: Code it, stage 2: beta test it, stage 3: release it. I'm not overly concerned with anything but getting it into beta.
At this time, if you do not have OgreBot, you won't be able to test OgreCraft Beta.

**Update**
Updated pricing information has been posted here: http://eq2.ogregaming.com/wiki/index.php?title=OgrePricing

Please use this thread to post feature requests and bugs. Provide as much information as possible, including copy/paste of error messages. I will simply ignore posts that do not provide sufficient information. (Such as, it's crashing... Great, what were you doing?).

How to report a bug...

First and foremost, you will need to copy from the console: How to Copy from the console

If you encounter a bug, I will need as much information as possible.
A copy/paste from the console with any information that is there. There is a LOT of debugging error messages in OgreCraft, I want the message EXACTLY, not your opinion, or translation of the error message.

If a reaction failed, I need the screen shot. You can crop just the crafting window if you desire, otherwise you can email it to me if it has your toon name in it.

If there is no error message, such as the bot seems to "freeze" or get "stuck", close everything down, and reproduce it. If you can't reproduce it, I can't fix it. If you can reproduce it, give me the EXACT steps to do so. More information is better, even if you do it like the following:
Click "Show Advanced", click "Recipe", click "Add" etc.

Lastly, I will NOT debug or fix any "bugs" that are not reported correctly. If you want me to take the time to fix it, I want you to take the time to report it correctly.

Known Bugs
None :)

Fixed Bugs

Feature Requests
[Doubtful-Doesn't seem like it's needed] Mana items when needed

My suggestion is to automate some type of self power heal between craftings.

Sorta like the chain/CA boxes, you could provide a list of spells to be cast if available after a crafting session....

ex.
done crafting...
Cast X
Cast Y
Use Manastone
Start next item crafting

Or maybe you can get the normal power heals to work between crafting sessions.

I'd find this useful as after a bit of crafting I'm always out of power and having this automated would be nice.

I'll look into this to see how big of an issue mana is. When you hit every single reaction, you can maintain mana VERY well. Missing reactions = loss of mana, hitting reactions = gain mana. However, given enough combines, you can run out of mana if you don't get a few crits to your mana.

I agree even with the old craft I never never ever ran out of power at all levels. It's really not an issue

Beta is now active!

If you need to update information in CustomWrits or WritCount, please post here so I can update them in the main files on the patcher.

I looked at the Wiki and I didn't really see anything explaining why I may be getting this error. If I need to do something myself, like edit the WritCounts file could you please explain exactly what needs to be done?

Here is the error (I'm getting it on all of my characters, regardless of crafting level):

Code:
Loading map: fprt_guildhall_tier1
No LSO or XML file found. Creating a new file.
Writ # 1 of 10
14:06:26: OgreCraftError: There's an issue with your writ count file. Your entry for level ( 34 ) shows ( 5 ) different recipes. Yet the bot is reading LESS.
14:06:26: OgreCraftError: Contact Kannkor to investigate. You will need to have this EXACT error message, as well as your eq2ogrecraft/xmlfiles/writcounts.xml file available.
Writ # 1 of 10

Open the file ( eq2ogrecraft/xmlfiles/writcounts.xml ) and what do you have for that level? Also, specify what class/level for the rest.
Also, how many writs of each one are required?
If the quest asks for 1,1,1,1,2, or is it 2,2,2 etc.

Merchant Window Not Closing

When the bot buys fuels it leaves the merchant window open after fuels are purchased and crafting begins.

Jeweler Recipe Names dont match writs

This has always been a problem. The jeweler recipes for spells start with "Rune of " and then the spell name.

Writ asks for : Debilitate (Journeyman)
Recipe listed as : Rune of Debilitate (Journeyman)

An input box was presented for every spell in the writ asking for the exact name of the spell. I entered these and then the bot simply stopped and went back to the main screen. Console reads: OgreCraftError: Unable to finish writ quest

I tried this for about 8 writs with the jeweler thinking it was storing the names I was typing in but it continued to ask for the same ones over and over.

[Edit]
I found the custom writs file but it does not seem to be getting modified by the UI. It has the Ash Bow example only.

[Edit]
I manually updated the CustomWrits.xml file to include the information for the spell names. Deleted the quest and reran the writ and it was still asking for the exact names foe those spells. Below is a copy of the customwrits.xml info.

<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>

I don't see anything like what you are asking for in my WritCounts.xml file, I searched for anything that was related to crafting, writs and level and these are the only lines that seemed relevant to your question.

I tried again on my 90 Armorer to do a writ and this is the error I experienced:

Code:
15:11:49: OgreCraftError: Recipe name ( titanium reverent coat ) not found.
Recipe failed..?
15:11:49: OgreCraftError: There's an issue with your writ count file. Your entry for level ( 89 ) shows ( 1 ) different recipes. Yet the bot is reading MORE ( 2 ).

End of OgreNav (Powered by script: OgreCraftMove)
When I pressed the "Start Writs" button it asked how many of each type I wanted to create, so I entered 3 3 and then another box came up asking to type the exact name of the recipe, I did and that was the error it tossed.

I just tried again, loading OgreCraft fresh... here is the error:

Code:
No LSO or XML file found. Creating a new file.
15:16:59: OgreLavishSettings Error: Unable to find set ( Writ Counts ) - Counter: ( 1 )

Level 50.

I only saw the one ) I left off after Journeyman but will double check.

Is the input box from the UI supposed to modify this file when you enter it there when asked for?

Rush order vs Regular Writ

I do not see an option to select which type of writs you want to do, am I overlooking it somewhere?

Is there a reason someone would do Work order writs, over rush order writs? I only have rush order coded in. If there's a reason to do the other kind let me know.

The only reason I have ever found to NOT use the Rush Order person was on the lower tiers 2-5, there are a few classes which struggle in the Rush writs and it became necessary to use the regular writs on some of those levels.

With your focus on accuracy it may be a non-issue. I am running toons into the tradeskill instances today to see how the accuracy and pathing works there as those tend to be tougher combines.

The only other reasons would apply to people that most do not use bots anyway although some like to do every writ at least once for the quest counts to unlock achievements.

I mostly just wanted to make sure I wasnt overlooking it.

Mapping?

In a non-bot friendly guild hall (meaning in different rooms), a map is required, but you do NOT have to name anything. You simply have to run around. (More on this later).

Do we just use "ogre map" to create a map with points and points of avoidance to reach all the machines creating paths from each one to the remaining ones?

[EDIT]
And once there is a map when Ogre craft use it regardless? I am taking a toon through the tradeskill instances, they tend to have harder reactions. In many cases the workstations are close together but have walls and other objects in their paths which make maps necessary.

Making/eating dinner so I only have a few minutes, just map out the area (run overtop / around everything). You don't have to name anything.
I may have to add something special for the clipboard. Haven't got that far yet.

Wrong Forge

There are 4 Forges in the guild hall.

  1. Forge
  2. Elaborate Forge
  3. Sootfoot Forge (Only used for specific recipes)
  4. Blood Iron Forge (only used for specific recipes)

The Sootfoot and Blood Iron forge are quest rewards that allow you to place these forges in your guild hall so you can make those armor types without having to travel to other locations to make them.

They can not however be used to make general forged items. The bot is attempting to use them while leveling up a new toon, causing the script to fail because it can not find the correct forge.

I think the tailor in general is a bit off for some reason. Mine is levle 57 now and I've manually edited the custom writ file (I'm assumed you could just type the name of the correct recipe in the UI box when it pops up but it doesn't do anything?) - permissions issue maybe?

Its worked thus far with me manually adding recipes in with the exception of one.

Here is what I've added unless it's incorrect:

The "a Sandcloth Shawl" doesn't work.
I'll add in a check for the prefix "Tailored ". Should fix all those.

Ohhhh... I thought you could use them anytime you wanted... I'll have to look into this.

In regular craft, if you pick an item to make like "brellium ring of intelligence", it is smart enough to load not just that recipe, but also the regular brellium ring recipe and sequence them such that the base ring is made, and then the second combine is done to add the special proc/stats. Ogrecraft is not doing that. It is just trying to make the imbued ring, which it can't since the base ring has not been made.

No, it's not smart enough. Is it as simple as requiring 1 item to make the other? I'm not a crafter, so some of this stuff is foriegn to me.

Yes, the imbued items require a regular item be made first and the imbued recipe adds the proc to it.

Low Level Leveling

Awesome you coded in the sell procedure but it needs to be an option.

The toon runs into the wall until it determines it cant reach the exporter and then resumes. I am working on the mapping now to see if this can be overcome. The exporter is in another room at a different elevation than the crafting area.

Once I get time to take care of the other room thing this shouldn't be an issue. May not be for a few days though, with some of these other issues.

Would also like to request that option to "camp when done" be added like exists in old craft. This is gonna be great when all the little stuff gets worked out!

Recipes not purchased (problem and solution)

Leveling up a toon with the Lower Level Leveling feature:

None of the essentials recipes were purchased at level 10. I purchased several manually and then started the script again.

21:16:53: OgreCraftError: Unable to find ( 1 ): outfitter Essentials Volume 15 on the merchant.
21:16:53: OgreCraftError: Unable to find ( 2 ): outfitter Essentials Volume 16 on the merchant.
21:16:53: OgreCraftError: Unable to find ( 3 ): outfitter Essentials Volume 17 on the merchant.
21:16:53: OgreCraftError: Unable to find ( 4 ): outfitter Essentials Volume 18 on the merchant.
21:16:53: OgreCraftError: Unable to find ( 5 ): outfitter Essentials Volume 19 on the merchant.

should be looking for "outfitterS essentials volume x"

[EDIT]
The books are not being auto-scribed once manually purchased, presumably for the same reason. Assuming it is looking for the wrong book to scribe.

Already fixed in next release :)
My tailor is almost 40, so I'll be able to test some of the issues in the 40s tomorrow.

My tailor is now 43 and haven't had any issues (I added support for "Tailored " already).

Tomorrow I'll force a customwrit and fix it, then release a new version. Not sure what time it'll be..

My level 24 prov is getting the following error

OgreCraftError: There's an issue with your writ count file. Your entry for level ( 24 ) shows ( 5 ) different recipes. Yet the bot is reading LESS.
OgreCraftError: Contact Kannkor to investigate. You will need to have this EXACT error message, as well as your eq2ogrecraft/xmlfiles/writcounts.xml file available.

My WritCounts file is showing:

<Setting Name="24">1,1,1,1,2</Setting>

attached screen shot of what eq2 is asking for

Not major but Ethereal Adornment of xxxxx (Superior) only show after turning on "Show Advanced Recipes" while the (Lesser) and (Greater) versions show up under "Show adornment recipes"

Can half understand why because the superior ones are technically advanced, I just think most adorners would want all adorning recipes (and nothing else apart from the mana/infusion/powder/fragment conversions) all in the "Show Adornment Recipes" bit

Search

Is there any way to make the search a bit more generic? For instance, if I want to make an Ethereal Adornment of Endurance, I have to type almost all of the name to find it easily. Would be nice to be able to maybe type "Eth Endur" or something short like that.

Great job by the way!!!

I absolutely love this feature!

Things of note: Number of recipes in your queue becomes important because the "check" to determine level occurs at the end of the queue. IF you have 20 items in queue and on the completion of #1 you hit level 9 or 19, it will continue to perform combines until the entire queue is complete before telling you that you have reached level 9/19 and need to go talk to the crafting person to level to 10/20.

The feature that causes the toon to sell the items it made in that queue to the exporter is brilliant although as I stated before I would make it an option and also consider making it a selection for number of combines to complete before selling.

Reason being that I want smaller queues to check for leveling to maximize efficiency in using the most recent recipes and dont want to be running all over after each small queue is complete.

The 1-20 levels seem to be the worst for leveling now with the removal of pristine bonuses and absence of writs. So this is definitely a nice feature.

You don't have to type it out in order.. y ou could type: "t of end" and it would find it. I may look into making it mulitple word searches... but it won't be for a while.

Just changed it so adorn recipes have priority, so it should show them all over having advanced checked.

Searching

Is pure win IMO.

Restrict level, restrict to adorn, type end and you get all the endurance stuff

This coupled with the dual queue system is sheer brilliance. Start one and search and add the others as you work, very efficient. I am having a blast playing with this new toy.

Finally was able to track down the customwrit bug. Fixing it now, should have a new version up within the hour... pending any other issues.

Please note: If you need to add anything to CustomWrits (once I fix it), make sure you let me know, I will be patching CustomWrits quite often. As of right this second, I only know of 1 recipe that is required (The ash longbow). All of the "Tailored" now work automatically.

I'll be tackling the Rune of stuff here shortly also.

Next release (in my dev notes on revision history also)
Refined how the search works. It's now a partial search based on words being separated by spaces. Note: Quotes do not work (never did). Examples:
If you searched for: acid
It would show you any recipe with the word "acid" in it.

If you searched for: jug sli
Results would be: Any recipe that contains "jug" and "sli", such as, Jugular slice.

If you searched for: j o u r n e y m a n
You'd be a retard, but it would return any recipe that contained all the letters (the order wouldn't matter).

Worth noting, the more search parameters you give it, the longer the search will take. While I was testing, searching a single term (such as acid), resulted in 1-2s for the results to fully populate. When I searched for j o u r n e y m a n, it took 3-4 seconds.

As of this post, I have updated the second post (with known bugs/feature requests). Everything else in this thread is deemed fixed.

If you are still having an issue (make sure you are using v1.001), please make a new post with all new information.

I tried to use the recipe "a small amount of Bloodmetal bricks" to break down a few pieces of armor into the ore. It pulled up the recipe, understood that it had all the necessary ingredients (including the 5 armor pieces), but when submitted just did nothing, and then reset as if it was done. So not working.
