I am following the ogre setup guide and cannot get my other PC's to connect to my main PC to run MCP. Is there another thread or guide to follow. I have all machines in eq2chars file and PC names just like the guide. I have Innerspace set to allow uplink connections. Am I missing something?

Thank you.

You got computer names set in eq2chars?

you got accept incoming connection checked in innerspace?

you got the right computer names in eq2chars and or innerspace?

you don't have a firewall up?

Are you clicking "Connect" in the MCP? What is listed in the console as the result of clicking "List IPs" on the MCP?

That worked! Thank you.

I now am trying to get it setup to joust out. does it do this automatically? or need to be setup somehow?

Once your connected whatever button on the mcp you hit will send the command to the other Computor"s".

Have you defined a campspot where they should joust out? Try this as a test (make sure the tank does not have Move To Area checked):

CS-Dft
Move tank elsewhere
Come2Me (group should stack on the tank)
Jst-Out

The group should then move back to the camp spot (where you clicked on CS-Dft).

ok, so I am home and was able to try this, I hit CS-dft, then say come to me, only 2 of the 4 come to me, the others just stand there and do nothing, and when I do hit joust out they go back to the camp spot, so it half working!

The link is there, they follow and jump, so it is working, just not letting those 2 machines come to me when I click on that, is there a way to troubleshoot that?

I'd say the two most common issues would be:

1) They don't have a target (assist), or
2) They don't have "Move to Area" checked

One other issue is if they have auto target checked they don't want to follow when they have it checked.

That's completely false. Generally speaking if you have auto target checked, you won't be assisting, but it really is unrelated to auto target.

They must have a target.
They must be in your eq2chars file.
(For 'come to me', you don't need 'move to area' checked either)

They all are in my eq2char file and those 2 still wont come to me when I select that button, I have double a triple checked everything

Post screenshots of your setup and settings tabs.

Is it always the same characters exhibiting this behavior, regardless of which computer they're loaded on?

If you check the options for move into melee range and move behind mob on those characters, will they move for that? (ie is it all movement? or just campspot related movement that is failing?)

Ogre default assumes eq2 uses wasd movement keys, are those the movement keys used for those characters in-game?

yes, just the same 2 chars, I have not changed computers, I will try and swap the 2 who work with the 2 who do not and see if they exhibit the same behavior. Great Idea, will try tonight.

Remember when you load them on another computer it's not necessarily the same bot setting. So if they work when you switch them transfer the eq2save file over to your other comp. or at least carefully compair the setting.
