Ok, just got back into EQ2 and ISX

My current exe is 3/4/08, and the current ISXEQ2 is 3/1/08. I downloaded the everquest.exe from, uhm, the 25th and copied it over, making a backup of the 3/4 one. I get in fine. I bring down the console, type in ext isxeq2 and crash. Every time. Does it on the exe from 3/4 and 2/25. I say 2/25 cuz on twonk, the 2/25 and 2/26 exe have the same timestamp of 2/25.

any suggestions?

Rephrasing that. I used the 3/4 exe and 2/26 exe. both crashed when ext isxeq2 was typed.

Well first off did you follow the instructions on how to install isxeq2? cause if its crashing it would crash before you even got to the character screen if it was a mismatch error on .exe, thus brings me to think that you dont have the autoload ext isxeq2 in your innerspace configuration for the profile of eq2 you're using.. if not then im wrong and idk why its crashing but seems weird you have to type isxeq2 in.. i know you type it in after you verify subscription but after you crash (been there done that) it will autoload again when you reopen isxeq2.

so check that.. then from there.. before it crashes bring the console down (granted it autoloading) and wait... soon as it loads it'll say which date of .exe you need THEN it will crash.. i mean you might be able to do that with how you're approaching it now.. load game.. type ext isxeq2 then wait and see if you can look in console before hitting ok to the crash info (thus closing the game).

Actually, I solved it myself. I forgot I have craptacular Vista and you need to right click everything and run as administrator even though I have all of the UAC, Firewalls, etc turned off. What a piece of shit OS....Someone, please make something to compete with them for game n stuff :p

Well, after uninstalling both innerspace and isxeq2, re-installing them by right clicking, run as admin, then running innerspace as admin to start it, still doesn't work for me. Its like it logs me right back out and when I try to log back in, it gives me an authentication error (-14) and ext isxeq2 crashes me. I'm at a loss. I'm going to transfer my EQ2 over to WinXP and see if it doesn't work there.
