Pg Access Revoked

There have been many questions about today's recent PG access being revoked.

Here is what Caith has said in discord, I'm paraphrasing because it's much more amusing that way. If you want exact quotes, you can get them directly from discord.

If you use automation in PGs and hit some magical threshold, you get your PG access revoked.
However, their system is broke and gave a bunch of innocent people access revoked. (If you're reading this, you're not one of the innocent ones).
Clearly everyone reads the EULA, because the warning about doing bad things was clearly in there.

Collecting random sampling of data hasn't really proved very useful to determine what threshold they are using, but to be honest, they are admitting their system is broken and hitting innocent people, so it's unlikely to figure out how it's working when they can't even get it to work properly.

No one knows if this is a permanent revoke or temporary.


Lastly, I've said this thousands of times, and I'm pretty sure it's in the rules of bot club. Doing things AFK will get the community, and yourself in trouble. I'm using "AFK" here loosely, I mean doing things without any human interaction, for longer periods of time.
This is the exact reason why people like Amadeus and I usually limit "AFK" things, as much as you, the user want these things, it usually ends up very poorly for you and the community as a whole.

Has anyone been able to confirm if this is an account or character ban? I have received the "overflow" message on a few different characters on the same account but, there is never anything in the overflow.

The PG character ban is account wide. Still unconfirmed whether ban is temporary or permanent

3 of my accounts were given the PG ban, but the next day 2 of them had fallen off and were able to zone in again while the third was still banned. My guess is the length is proportional to the infraction. The 2 accounts that had the ban fall off hadn't done PGs in a number of weeks. Whereas the one still banned was actively doing them in the week leading up to the patch.

2 of my 8 had the revoked token on the toon I logged in on. Weirdly, on one of those 2 i can still log alts into PG. It's almost as if deybreak fucked something up...

My account still has an account wide PG Ban. Is this the same for others? Has anyone tried petitioning on length of ban? Really just want to know if it's permanent. With the increase in level on new expansion, I would rather put the expansion and sub on a new account, than an account that has a perma PG Ban. Any information would be appreciated ...

Since the bans went out, did anything change? Are these permanent?

I came back to the game yesterday after a 4+ months break and several of my accounts also have a PG ban.
Weirdly enough, on my main account, I could zone into the main PG area just fine yesterday (I did so by accident) and today it says the account is banned even though I have not run a PG in 4+ months...
