Problem with OgreCraft

Hi, I am crafting in a guild hall and it is working fine except for one thing that is causing problems once in a while. I am doing writs and after getting the writ, getting the work order and getting fuel my char start to move backward and then it goes to the crafting station. Any special reason why the char is moving backward? It does that and sometimes get stuck as it is moving backward a lot before going to the crafting station. Also sometime it goes beyond the station and get stuck behind it.Thanks.

I don't think its a problem with just ogrebot. I've been messing around with the basic crafting program lately (just for shits and giggles) and I've noticed that my toons keep backing up from the clipboard and the fuel merchant each time they hail them, then back away from the crafting table while they use it. There's no rhyme or reason to why they do it, they just do it. Its almost like the script thinks they're too close to those specific items and they need to back away to use it.

system lag? is your system running particularly badly when you notice this?

Can't speak for the OP, but mine runs like a dream. Doesn't matter if its one client running or all 6, once it gets to clicking on something other than the writ giver, it wants to back up a step each time it does something. Eventually, its so far away from everything that it quits out.

My system does not lag, it run very smooth. Also my char does not backup just a bit it run backward a lot. I am crafting in my guild hall and it is setup in a big room, when my char backup it goes to the other end of the room then run back to the crafting table. Also when it move forward it start by making baby steps for a bit then it run normally. Some more info, it does that just after getting his writ and it does it every time and on all my char.

Same problem here. I've clicked on "use target station only no movement" to no avail. Crafter still takes a couple steps after hailing writ giver. Eventually, it gets out of range and quits out. I've found a poor mans fix however, just place a counter or something behind you and box yourself in. That's how I've been working around it.

I've been running a movetoxy script and it keeps them within 1 meter of whatever point I ran the script at. Another poor man's fix, but it seems to do the job :)

Sounds like you guys have an.. 'odd' option set some where.

Such as "h" hails and moves backwards. (Although I'm not sure if either script actually uses pressing h.

There is a view option that can cause really odd behaviour... I seen it mentioned somewhere, something like view relative or avatar relative. One of those (or something like it), makes it so pressing the forward button runs you in the way your camera is facing or something, not necessaily "forward" based on which way your character is facing.

Hi, yes this seem to be the problem, so far I fixed it with 1st person view but I will try with avatar relative to see.
