Where does one get these files for qfaction

Zone files you will need:

fprt_ph_3r02
fprt_north
fprt_sewer01
fprt_adv02_graveyard
commonlands

You will also need my autohunt path for:

fprt_ph_3r02

They are on the patcher.. you should have them automatically.. The only exception would be if you deleted one.

Well I tried it at the comonlands bell I set up my toon to auto hunt and typed in qfaction and it did nothing it kept hailing the fish off the dock lol. I brought him up to the quest giver and he too the correct quest but then just stood there. Yes I know you want to slap me cause I am probably missing something simple. anyway any hep would be great.

Thanks

I'd also like to use this, but can't find the files mentioned in my directories. Did you eventually get them somehow?

The files are located in your /innerspace/scripts/eq2ogrecommon/zonefiles/ directory.

They are on the patcher on patch 42.

If you don't have them do..

ISXOgre:Repatch[40]

Should get them.

OK, I got it to work. A few tips for those who want to use this:

1) Go into your Options, under Controls, and expand the View Options settings.

You need to have it set to the following:

Free Look Controls ==> Set to "Avatar Relative"
Combat Auto Face Camera ==> it should be checked
Combat Auto Face Avatar ==> it should be checked

These settings are needed so that the movement scripts work properly. BTW, you need these set like this for some other OgreBot scripts, like to get your toons to run back up to the fight in TOFSx2. If you raid, you probably do not have these set in this way, since you normally want to have total freedom of movement when you are actually playing a toon.

2) I found that you should start the script right next to Gil, instead of starting it on the Commonlands dock. Maybe it does work starting there, but I had the same result as others described (it hails the fish hehe).

Other than that, following the directions posted works flawlessly, and you can quickly get the faction part of your betrayal quest done using this script. Thanks Kannkor!

ok, my feedback. Most of the script works great.

To get it working, type: ogre qfaction

Start at gil in CL.

The problem i have is twofold.
1. Can't stop it.
2. toon doesn't do anything within the den zone. I repatched, still not doing anythign. But, i can do that part manually.

If this is the zone that looks like a tradeskill instance and the quest is really just picking up pieces of paper, it worked almost flawless for me.

However, there is one thing to take into consideration.

WHEN the bot was running, IF I tabbed out to browse the internets or was playing on another session, 9/10 times it wouldn't complete the quest correctly. After watching it, it appears that on the last update (picking up a piece of paper or something) it would miss it if I was tabbed out.

So, I stopped the bot and shut it down from my gaming rig. Upped the toon on my laptop and let it run without any other windows or sessions open and it ran perfect everytime.

Should be called EZ-Betray

All I can say is there is no better EZ Mode betrayal than this, Thanks a ton Kannkor.

I loaded it up at Gil, and started watching a movie on the other monitor. Only had one glitch, and that was zoning back into commonlands on one of the runs, pretty sure induced by me pausing the movie to talk on the phone.

Clicked the gate manually, and off he went back to Gil to turn in and start another run.

QFaction fixed

Edit by Kannkor: If you are going to modify a file, please change the name, and preferably add what you changed so people know.

Is this part of what OgreBot keeps updated? or seperately downloaded from the SVN?

I was having the same problem as the others in this post, enters the den and just stands there, so I assumed it was a common problem.

Sorry for overstepping

Yes I update it, just not all that often. Assuming you followed the instructions it should work fine.

I don't mind if you want to post a modified version, just change the name, that way people aren't asking me for help if there is an issue with a modified file :)

I get it Kannkor, just didn't really think it through from your perspective.

I'm pretty sure the problem was in the AHMovement.iss file. It appeared to me that once you got into the Den the script was supposed to 'autohunt' the mobs in the room, but that never happened, it just stood there for a while, did a couple ogre moves, grabbed the key, went upstairs and stopped just inside the door, but never tried to kill the final mobs needed to 'disrupt the party'. The other problem was that it had the scout targeted the whole time, and thus never attacked any mobs.

So I removed the AHMovement stuff and just used manual moves to locations to get around inside the Den and complete the zone correctly.

Attaching my version of this file, with a different name. All credit to Kannkor for the original, but don't ask him for support on this one, it's just a one-off.
