Regarding the EQ2.exe

I think i am using the correct version, which to my knowledge is the most recent. But it keeps crashing, which is odd to me. But to get the specifics out of the way, I am using the April 13th version. Should i be using a different one?

Yes wrong version of the exe - if you mean it is crashing when you load the isxeq2 ext that is labeled to work with the 3/28 release of eq2.

If you mean it is crashing when you start it from IS that might be something different and should be posted to the LavishSoft boards...

If you mean it is crashing when you start it w/o either then it is SoE's fault and again, wrong board.

If you mean something different, my mind reading skills only go so far, and since the methods of posting a crash report are listed in these forums I would suspect that would be the correct course of action once you have searched/read the forums.

Well, i dont think it has anything to do with ISXEQ2, thats why i havent posted in the crash screen, i appologize for my lack od details. I shall explain further.

I read the post ama did in http://www.isxgames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102

stating that the version 1.07 is the one we should be using. But, i also play vanguard quite regularly, so i have been gone for some time. So, i updated to the April 13 eq2.exe so i figure thats not the main issue.

I updated the support files from the most recent, which is on http://www.isxgames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8

So i believe that is the best i can update atm. So, the only other thing i can conclude is that the IS build i have, does not like the ext of eq2 i have. So, i was just trying to clarify that that WAS indeed the correct date of the eq2.exe to simplify my possibilities. And, from what you have stated, it was the wrong one. So now I will try the 3-28 exe and see if it lets me run it, but i have a odd feeling that it wont, because i believe there was a needed patch somewheres in that date range. But again, i have been absent for a period of time from eq2, so i get to explore the possibilities :)

Edit: Thank you for you reply, i have since tweaked it to work :)

That thread is letting you know that you should be using the latest version of InnerSpace for support with the ISXEQ2 extension. Not which version(s) of InnerSpace support which EQ2.exe versions.

And yes, there was a crash issue with earlier versions of IS and EQ2 awhile back.
