Just curious, since no reply was given.
Did you have the Miner and Freighter actually in a fleet?
Did you make sure all settings were correct for both bots so they worked together properly?
Most often my problems with the bot are due to my newness to it and I miss things now and again and it takes trial and error; but, eventually I do get it working.

Oh, it works, just behaves oddly.
I believe it's bacuse I have my safespot set to the station. Must admit I'm not sure what it's behavior is supposed to be, if I set the safe spot to somewhere in space it picks up from fleet members, then warps to the safe spot, never dropping off the ore at the station so gets full very quickly.
Sort of fixed it by adding another miner to the fleet, its now so busy it doesn't have time to repeatedly undock/dock before it's called for a pickup.
