What kind of numbers are Tier 1 and Group DPS are people putting up this xpac?

Would like to judge how my group is fairing.

DPS is kinda all over the board this expansion with ascension. I've had dps as low as sub 500 mil in raid, high as 10+ bil. Depends on which broken ascension class you have.

You basically have 4 classes (Ascension) with a subclass of (insert class here). This xpac, in my opinion, is garbage. Everybody just temp's up pre pull to get potency 50k+ and then lets loose on ascension abilities to kill mobs in sub 30 seconds, yay. /sarcasm over.

For a normal encounter, with no mechanics that stop dps I get 700M-1B out of my beastlord and about half that out of my ranger. My ranger sucks ass, the ranger epic 2.0 doesn't play well with ogre right now, but he was horrible before that. Tank and Illusionist around 200-400. Healers are an embarrassment so i just use them to set up ascension combos on the DPS.

What combo have you found so far? Ethermancy makes scorched earth pretty potent.

I wonder if the same ability can work with multiple schools.

Etherflash + Virulent Outbreak
Stone Hammer + Blood Contract
Brittle Armor + Ethershadow Assassin
Glacial Freeze + Septic Strike

Using these in succession will result in the 2nd (and 3rd and 4th if you have them) ability hitting a second time for the damage type of the previous ability. Im not sure how it works if you 'surge' brittle armor, im guessing its more effective but I haven't really paid attention closely.

The way I do it is i have the starter ability in the caststack of my healers and have it set to announce in group. Then i manually cast the 2nd ability on my tank or dps. I'm pretty sure this could be automated but i kind of like having some control of it.

I must add that having the epic 2.0 rewards equipped to improve those abilities further is pretty important for this. If you are slacking on doing those quests, stop slacking on those quests.

Interesting. I changed my assassin to a ranger but you saying that makes me wonder if that is a mistake.
I messed around with my Caststack and basically paid some attention to what was going on in combat...ranger is less shitty now and i was wrong about the epic 2.0 not working, perhaps i hadn't done an export after getting it. Im not sure. But after some tweaking and getting my INQ epic 2 finished, the ranger is doing much better. I should point out i dont have the main hand blade for the epic 2.0, i hate to petition to get it changed and be botting when the GM shows up

Brittle armor surge will increase effectiveness of combat mit debuff per stack. I've been spending sometime figuring out the combos. Found some really good ones but there are just so many permutation to go through.

Fragments are obtained from daily/weekly heroic/Adv solo/solo missions and PQs (KA, JW, and Fens) and are the primary ingredient in upgrading your Epic 2.0 spells.

I'm in limbo in that I can clear some instances like Stronghold and Wizards Den quite easily but others are just impossible due to my awful DPS. I tried Reavers Remnants and Tomb of the Venerated but didn't get anywhere near the DPS needed to succeed.

Currrently running: Guardian, Brigand, Dirge, Coercer, Assassin and Mystic. They haven't done their epics 2.0 yet but are all nearly lvl 5 Ascension so will be starting as soon as possible.

The Brigand is doing great DPS but the Assassin is sadly lacking. Hit rates are low so maybe I need to reforge into Accuracy/Strikethrough.

I guess its a case of plugging away and gathering gear in a hope this will give me the dps boost needed. Also need to upgrade Ascension spells to a decent tier.

Quite enjoying KA though, I'd rather things were a challenge than be bored silly by the summer.

I also have a second group of: Pally, BL, Dirge, Illy, Swashy and Defiler that are KA instance ready. Perhaps I should look at swapping in the BL.

Strikethrough could be your problem. Reavers is very tame as far as dps checks go, and i think some tinkering with your toons should do the trick for you. Tomb on the otherhand is a bitch because ogre doesn't handle moving mobs + melee very well. I used Hook Arrow and Noxious Grasp to keep dragging the mobs back away from the pathing but i dont see any abilities like that in your group. Devastation of war is your next best bet. Just let em rip one at a time, they dont stack, so one every 10 seconds from a different toon each time. a macro or MCP button to purchase them for the whole group on the fly is handy.
P.S.
waiting for mobs to die in the new expert zones leaves alot of time for posting on forums so if you have specific questions I'll be bored enough to help

Thats the in-game macro. Works instantly, in combat and with no delay of any kind. To have your whole group buy them at the same time make an MCP button with the following:

Select Command: RawCommand
relay
all
eq2execute
"/spend_deity_point 1715321272 1"

I'd like to see some actual data that suggests strikethrough on scouts is needed. I did some limited testing awhile ago, noticed no difference in hit%. They were always 97-99% with/without.

Some brief data that I put together a while back, from 3 pulls of a T3 raid mob lasting 5min+ per pull. My basic decision was that Weaponskills = 2k Is most important. ST/Accuracy help, but only for the final 10-15% hit rate.

Assassin - 87% ST. 15% Accuracy, 1.5k Weapon Skills - 45% Hit Rate with auto attacks. - All Misses
BL - 100% ST. 20% Accuracy, 2k Weapon skills - 98% Hit Rate auto attacks.
BL2- 100% ST. 40% Accuracy, 1.3k Weapon Skills - 70% Hit Rate with auto attacks. - All Misses
Brig - 70% ST, 7.5% Accuracy, 1.6k Weapon Skills - 63% Hit Rate with auto attacks. - Most Misses, 5% Parries/Blocks
Channeler - 100% ST, 40% Accuracy, 1.9k Weaponskills - 99.5% Hit Rate with autos. - 2 Missed Hits

Chanter Melee - 35 ST, 10% Accuracy, 1.6k Weapon Skills - 65% Hit Rate - Most Misses, 10% Parries/Blocks
Chanter Wand - 35% ST, 10% Accuracy, 2k Focus - 87% Hit Rate - 40% Parries/Blocks, 60% Misses

Maybe my memory is failing me but im almost certain that attacks that are 'avoided' by your target will not show up in ACT when looking at your hit rate.
