Tinkering

I Have used the /craft cmd alot, however I have not ever seen a option about tinkering, I bought all the recipe books for it, I bought the moves to tinker, yet I have no clue on how to get the bot to actually tinker. Is there a special setting i'm missing? Something I have to do in the customerwrits.xml file? Any guidance would be much appreciated.

tinker checkbox stays hidden unless you have tinker recipes in the level range selected, iirc. make your level range 1-80 and see if it shows up.

Stands corrected

ok I stand corrected. When you put 01-400 in the lvl field it gave me a tinkering check box. My other question then is how do I get it to automatically tinker for me, in the sense of craft and scribe the recipes everytime something new comes up?

You don't.

I don't believe the tinkering recipes will auto scribe, you'll have to *gasp* do that for yourself.

Tinkering is a more manual process, and I'll wager i could get 0-400 tinkering about 2x as fast as someone trying to bot it.

But if you want to bot it, scribe a recipe, than set your quality output to Q1, then make 6 of each item in that recipe book.

Rinse and repeat as you get new recipes.

Tinkering is similar to transmuting and here is something to keep in mind.

Even con combines can give I believe a 50% chance at a skill point, however gray recipies will always give 25% chance at a skill up (Unsure on the 50% but positive on the 25%)

If you can find a tier with cheap or readily available materials you can work just from that tier and go all the way to 400.

This is off topic but does that 25% chance at skill up on grey work for transmuting as well?

Thank You,
