Anyone know how to handle the curse Vethilot the Young places on you during his encounter? I believe its called "corpse fire"....

it drains power and does dmg.

You have 2 options.
1) Heal through it as long as you can.
2) Let the person die and res them.

We always just healed through it and burned him. That was with a raid.. I haven't 1 grouped him.

Ya i am not having a lot of luck with that...

i can get him to about 80% but he still gets his buff when my people die from that corpse fire and i dont put out enough DPS to kill him before he has enough of those buffs to tear me apart... :(

i was hoping it had something to do with the pool back in the bath room but maybe not!

just take the death and rez fast -- a fast enough rez will get no buff, but you'll usually get one buff per death. just need to dps and not have stupid deaths (from frontals, etc.). Have killed it with about 250k dps and only gotten 6 buffs i think. when i was learning the fight, with roughly 250k dps, that's enough to counter as much as 10 of the buffs, past that, you need more dps as it is a crawl.

anyone know the right-click option for destroying the cocoons on the spider fight? I only had one attempt earlier today before the spider wouldn't repop, so I couldn't get the right-click option.

e.g.
eq2execute apply_verb ${Actor[cocoon].ID} Whatever_the_Right_click_option_is

There's a right click option?!?!
I thought you had to kill them.. all this time..

yeah when I did this with a 'real' group, we treated it like the corpsemonger fight and had someone right clicking the cocoon -- though maybe they were just auto attacking it to death when they targeted its since it was a ranger.
