Warden Discussion

I got my assassin to kick some butt with this, but then tried it on with my warden and got significantly poorer results. It seems to cure and heal just fine, but only melees and doesn't seem to use the offensive spells, even though I have that option checked.

I see that there was a warden file post, but there is no file in the post.

Is this happening to anyone else?

ahhh yet another post of useless information.

Please post something that makes sense so we can at least try to help, and not have to decrypt what your trying to say first.

I'm new to this, so bear with me.

I setup the eq2bot with my assassin and ran it after tweaking the settings the way I want. He works really well... he'll follow the path, attack the mobs and seems to fight intelligently. I was able to run him for several hours with no problems.

When I tried setting up my warden the same way (with the exception of the class tab), it doesn't work nearly as well.

My warden will pull with a spell, but after that will only heal and cure herself but will not use offensive spells. Obviously, this reduces her dps ALOT.

So I am asking, is there any known issues with the warden AI that would cause it not to cast offensive spells?

well my guess is you have healing and cureing toggled so anytime you take damage its gonna try and heal you and anytime you need cured its gonna cure you.

What ownage is trying to say is you need to be alot more descriptive when it comes to how you have your eq2bot setup. The more we know about your settings the easier it is to track down what is causing your problem. Also you need to relealize that most bots are scripted for grouping/raiding. Although the bots have some solo functionality not all of them will do it well.

My suggestion to you is to look at the class.iss files in the eq2bot folder and see how they work. Once you have a basic understanding of what they do you can adjust them to suit your needs and not have to post so many different threads. You could have figured out allot of what you asked by reading old posts. Its a process that we have all gone through.

again, the more info you give us about your config raises the chances of someone helping you out.

did you get this to work?

ookami007, did you get this to work correctly?

I am having the same issue. It looks as if I need to have the console remain open for ISXEQ2 and he has no problems.

He was also having problems with auto follow. After each fight, my warden would just stand there.

Anyways, since being new to the program as well. The only thing I noticed is after hitting ~ and typing in run eq2bot; setting it up and clicking start bot. It would work fine until I hit ~ to close the console again.

Also, I am using it in a duo scenario.

Good Luck!

...

I use warden almost daily. I use it frequently raiding and in groups.

It works flawlessly every time I use it.

I assume you've got some setup and configuration issues, but I honestly can't make much of these posts.

Thats what i was trying to get him to understand before... Without outlining thier settings we cant help much.

As far not following... If the bot that is following is set to loot corpses and bodies the follow fuction will fail. What happens is at the end of combat it sets the /follow then breaks /follow to move to a corpse and then loots. it only sets /follow at the end of combat.

I dont see how hiding the console would affect how eq2bot functions...
