Was there a patch?

I didn't see any posts that others aren't working or there was a patch but I can't load isx. I am getting the error that I should be using the .exe from 1/17/12 but I downloaded that .exe and that didn't work either. Help! Thanks in advance =)

Did you unzip it to your eq2 folder after you downloaded it?

Then you put it in the wrong place ...or, you are launching EQ2 with "EQ2.exe" which is patching your EverQuest2.exe.

The error message now explains how to find out the exact location for putting the Everquest2.exe I think.
