Worth a new sub or wait?

Hey folks- I'm currently a happy isxGames user with a different game and I've recently started playing EVE so I'm looking into isxEVE- it's hard to get a good idea of the current state of isxEVE in general is. From what I've read, the performance is an issue that version 6 aims to fix, but there's not "release date" for this.

SO- since one of the stipulations of subscribing only means you get access to updates (not actually saying things will work) I want to get a feel for where isxEVE is right now. What works? What doesn't? And is it worth subbing now or wait to see what version 6 brings? Thanks!

Everything works.

WTF is "version 6?"

There is pretty significant FPS loss when running a bot with the currenly released version, but many, many people are doing so just fine.

Everything works.
While essentially correct in that everything in Evebot works as is, that's not the same as saying that everything listed as being in Evebot is implemented.

e.g. Mining missions are not implemented

Syntrix you will need to do some research and experimenting to get everything working the way you want it. For instance it took me a while to get courier missions going.

That said Evebot works great for mining which is one of the biggest grindchores in the game.

Mining missions aren't listed as being in evebot, afaik.. if they are, someone entered it by mistake! I don't even have plans to add them.. do people actually do them?

Mining missions are in the GUI for EVEBot which would lead a naive new user to deduce that they can be selected. Then when EVEBot runs I think they get a 'mining missions not implemented' message.

The wiki doesn't state clearly that only courier missions are implemented even though it only talks about setting up courier missions.

Basically I think the wiki could do with a bit of an update to make what is implemented and working clear and warn users about what is on the GUI but not implemented.

As to wether mining missions should be implemented it's probably not worth the effort. They're simple and they offer decent rewards but you have to switch ships to do them. Maybe if someone was doing just mining missions it'd be okay but there's very few mining only agents and as soon as you get two missions you can't do you'd be stuck.

Personally what I'd really like to see is trade missions implemented, then I could add my research agents into the missioner list and make some extra research points each day.

Trade missions are implemented, complete with buying the items from market if needed. As is limited (tested with L1/2 mainly) combat mission support. Check the dev tree instead of the stable tree.
