Zone EXP Spot Advice

Hey All,

I know it's Taboo to ask other ISX'ers about where to grind exp. We all like to keep our spots to ourselves.

I've been using ISXEQ2 for years and I've been playing EQ2 since Nov 2004. Great times. Recently though, with a new family addition and responsibilities my EQ2 days are in jeapordy. Prior to Velious, I had several great semi afk grinding spots where I could maintain my char development and AA's as new expacs came out, and be able to save my "real" playtime for raiding.

Velious has been out a week and I'm still sitting at 250 if that tells you anything. I just can't get anytime in outside of raiding. As I mentioned before, all my AA grinding spots are gone and I really dont know of any "auto mob" generating areas where I can be semi afk watching the kids while my toon grinds out the new 50AA.

If any players/parents out there are feeling merciful and wouldnt mind PM'ing me with some suggestions that would just be awesome. If you have newborns you know what I mean..

Thanks

I didn't even mentor down. I just took 4 toons down to Seb on Sat night and in 6 hours I had my 50 AA's.

Bottom floor of Seb, run frogs and dogs and shrooms up to the raid instance and back around to the rock guard guy. rinse and repeat. I like Chardok past the red door as well.

What about fast auto respawn mobs? Like the old Befallen instances where you could chain pull 50 mobs every 60 seconds. Does anyone know of any places where even a few mobs spawn really fast over and over?

Nest of the Great Egg has 3 that pop every 60 sec by the entrance but by the time you mentor down, figure in only 3 ^ mobs, the bar doesnt even move :(

Can you please explain what all this means?
If you're so new so as to not understand what he said, then I urge you to realize that any such spots are still there only because we don't talk about it. At the very least only talk about it here and then, still, it isn't safe.

But, what he means is...

Go to your city's Chronomage and self-mentor to an appropriate level for the zone you want to grind. SoS is Sanctum of the Scaleborn in Tenebrous Tangle. PoA is Palace of the Awakened in Barren Sky. Having a control effect immunity item is having an item that procs immunity to stun, stifle, root, etc. So you can keep on pulling/killing when the mobs try to control you.

Pick a zone. Pick a level. Pull tons of mobs and rake in the XP.

This is the most legit way to grind and aside from sometimes offering too much relative XP (like in The Hole) these will rarely, if ever, be nerfed. But, keep in mind it is also out in the public and subject to scrutiny.

So when you happen to stumble into a private instance that offers the same benefits, don't talk about it and enjoy.
