Autofollow and well...Autofollow

In EQ2BOT there are 2 functions that allow you to autofollow. 1 is on the main tab and the other I believe is on the misc tab.

Can someone explain the different between these two and which (if not both) should be used?

Thanks

The one on the main tab needs to be either fixed or removed. It uses custom functionality that I believe is not working (well).

The one on the extra tab is the regular EQ2 auto-follow. If it's checked, then you'll autofollow the person that's in your group same as if you clicked on them and chose "follow". It is the one that most people (including myself) use.

Maybe that's why we see our toons run in circles. When I have eq2follow.iss running in the backgound. If not ,they will just run forward untill dead :evil:

I think if the code that makes the bot stagger back and forth was removed, it would be a pretty solid follow.

The problem I have with the default follow is that I find myself often leaving my bot behind because it cant keep up.

I always have used the last tab autofollow (native to EQ2), but noticed on the first named in Maidens that if I wanted to get the toons to move quickly after being teleported to the platform, I needed to turn on the autofollow on the first tab. Agree it is very buggy, but could not find a way to make it work otherwise. Thought I saw a post saying someone was trying to implement autofollow in 2 modes, one of which would follow if the target was "nearby". That would also solve the issue. Thanks.
