Can't load ISX extension....

I've been away for a bit...couple months. I just patched EQII, reinstalled ISX just to safe/current, pulled the indicated EQII exe from twonk - but when I attempt to load, I keep being told it's not the right version - meant for 1st version on June 16. I have tried the last five exe files available and all tell me the same thing.

What am I missing, forgetting?

Thank you

Read the instructions carefully -- you want the EverQuest2.exe that was patched on 6.16.2009, not the one that has the date in the name of the file.

Download the one with the right TIMESTAMP on it from twonk (ie, June 16).

I understand how frustrating it is when people do not read the instructions- so I was very careful to try multiple times before posting. ...and again, I even tried with the last five .exe on twonk in case I was making just this mistake.

When I load - it does perform the check and set me to the latest version- per below...but no luck.

**************
Your version of EverQuest2.exe does not match this build of ISXEQ2.
This particular build of ISXEQ2 was designed to work with the first EverQuest2.exe that was patched
on June 16, 2009.

Guess I will keep uninstalling/reinstalling things....unless you see something above that lends to the issue?

I will apolgize for my ignorance in advance if I am missing something simple - I've used ISX for some time and never had this issue.

Thanks so much

As shown above- I did that. Those are the five most recent exe's. I'll be uninstalling/reinstalling later today - although I did do that already as well.

Well, fully uninstalled ISX and reinstalled- same result. :(

I'm sure there's something simple I'm missing...but don't know what else to try...

Vista UAC maybe?

Does the account you use have access to the innerspace directory? It should patch to the latest version even if it fails the exe check I thought....

Exe to use is

Do you have more than 1 install of eq2...is Innerspace looking at the right folder....

Valerian... THANK YOU. I will not pretend to understand why I needed to perform the patcher steps outlined here- but after doing so, I'm working (actually playing :yea:) again. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me as I didn't perform any significant updates or the like since my last update a couple months ago....but hey, I will take it. Good to be back.

Thanks All!!!

More thanks should be due to Cybertech for writing up those permission-setting steps for us all. I simply directed you to the right place.
