Tested it twice this morning the total Mucktail kills was 48.
24 to get "The ghosts of Clan Mucktail are getting angrier!" message
36 to get the "The air thickens as a vengeful spirit approaches!" message
48 to get "You have summoned the spirit of Vexven Mucktail!"
