CraftBot Alch Writ problems.

I have done a lot of searching and am unsure if craftbot is currently working.
Some say yes some no some posts are like 3 years old.

I am playing an alchemist everything was fine running writs till about lvl 70 and it kept telling me to edit the writcount file. So I did but it would never work, searched all over and everyone says the same thing. Its just not working for me.
I tried quiting EQ and innerspace making changes and reloading no go.

All the lvls are off in the WritCounts.xml file and changing them still gives me the same error to please edit the WritCounts.xml file.

lvl 77 for example.
Not in the WritCounts.xml file so no big deal I add
<Setting Name="77">3,3</Setting>
Same result add 77 to WritCounts.xml.


Tried -debug as well and it provides me with nothing I can use, no error or anything about WritCounts.xml just says found recipes and ends...

Please help.

It works, but it's not very intuitive, keep searching on these forums and you will find the solution to your problem, since it's in quite a few threads.

Thanks for the reply but I searched for over an hour and have not found a solution, I have found a bunch of info but none works. Could you point me in the correct direction?

Close craft. Edit the file. Load craft.

If it doesn't work, you either edit the wrong file, or you did the edits incorrectly. In either case, without you posting more information (such as the file in a pastebin.com), I'm not sure what you are asking for. What you described is the correct method.

Well kinda just making sure that it does indeed work correctly, or if there is something else I need to change.


Here is my file started clean as you can see I added lvl 77 under alchemist in there and thats it.
It isn't working. It seems kinda hard to mess up but just isn't working.

I don't necessarily see anything wrong but it is out of order with 74 coming after. Not sure if that would cause an issue. I would copy the whole 81-89 block and replace the 70's with that and change them to the correct level.

Ok I justed tested this by loading it on my work computer and it worked fine first try... Worked on this for 2 hours at home trying every different thing I could find and it never worked...

Is there some kind of caching somewhere that would be not loading new settings?

If you had craft open in game when you were editing the file, when you closed craft it would overwrite your changes.

Its weird, I went home for lunch fired it up and it was working like it should be.
Totally lost as to what the problem was but now seems to be working. I even lvled up and made another change to the Writecounts file for lvl 79 and it appeared exactly as I expected it to.
