Directx 11 compatible?

Recently upgraded my comp a little to include Win7 64bit to increase my memory. Comes standard with directx 11 and when running ISX (ogre auto start), the video driver stops responding like every 15-30 seconds...locks up for a short time (5 seconds or so), then recoveres. I updated my driver twice to be sure and it's fine. Read quite a bit on different forums, then finally tested it by running EQ2 normal. I had no issues over a few hours of playing with EQ2 started by SOE's launcher (no ISX running), but as soon as I entered the game with ISX, the driver fails to respond.
I somehow had found a thread about it, which I can't find again, but it only spoke of ISX/directx 11 with WoW and another game (don't remember), but no EQ2.
Any suggestions? TY

Summary: Display Driver fails to respond when running EQ2 via ISX (Directx 11)

EQ2 runs on DX9.0c. DX11 comes with some components of DX9 for backwards compatibility, but you may want to install the full version (which just installs into your DX11, not replaces it).

Thanks for the suggestion. I went ahead and downloaded and installed DX9c , started up ISX and zoned to KJ...within 10 seconds I got the same temp freeze and message "Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered, this happen 2 more times as I took flight (about 15 seconds of movement). I exited ISX and rebooted the game with SOE launcher I moved around KJ for about 5 minutes with no issue. Rebooted the game with ISX(had to grab patch from binaries since it was the wrong version at this point). Within 10 seconds of moving I got the same Display driver info...so it seems EQ2 is working fine with my driver as long as I'm not running ISX, but of course when I start EQ2 through ISX...the driver is having issues still... Any other suggestions?

I'd start with... what video card you are running, what driver version?
What graphics do you run in-game? Minimal? Extreme performance or quality etc?

This is the computer that I use to control my tank, so I usually run it not in extreme, but the one above it (2nd to lowest setting) even though I can prob run in high mode.

Here's the info:
Computer: Intel Core2 Duo 2.67 GHz
6.0 Gigs of RAM
Windows 7 (64 Bit)
Video Card: AMD (Radeon) HD6670 2GB/GDDR3 (Driver 8.980.0.0 Dated 6/11/12)

Like I said, if I launch the game using SOEs EQ2 launch pad, I can run through any zone(s) for hours on end and have no issues with the display driver not responding. But...when I launch via Inner Space (I have ogre auto started on login), I get the message within 10-30 seconds and it continues to happen for as long as I move around.
**Note: it was not this bad a week ago or so, it would happen, but MUCH less, like maybe once every two hours. I have not made any changes to the computer though, with the exception of updating the driver a few days ago after it started to happen MUCH more frequently. AGAIN, the weird thing is, if I run EQ2 via SOEs launcher, there are no issues at all.

Willing to try any suggestion since it's so bad I can't really do any zone at this point. Thanks!
