Hi there,

After seeing a post of someone using isxeq2 on EU server i decided to buy it, but i just forgot that there are english servers too EU side lol, so will it work on french, german etc... servers ?

And if not what do i need to change to make it work ? (guess it should be just translation of spells and skills ?)

Thank you in advance for your help.

I honestly have no idea. I think it will work, although you may have to wait longer for SOE to patch your server (since isxeq2 will update with the NA servers.)

ISXEQ2 is free for five days -- that should give you time to find out.

you may run into issues like having to localize scripts for your language / keyboard layout. If this is the case, unless you can REALLY sweet talk Valerian, you will probably never have craft.

Your only option at that point would be to change your client to english and get a standard US keyboard.

A while back we had some German users that were porting the spell lists for eq2bot to the localized spell names.

In theory most things will work, but you'll need to adjust for localization. Anything we've hard coded for specific game text will need to be updated for the localized values.

The problem with EQ2 is that language is server side.

So i only need to adjust the spell lists ? (*.xml ?), if you could show me what i need to do exactly to make eq2bot works it would be great, thank you.
I tried eq2bot and it couldn't find spells of course when it opened knowledge window because names don't correspond, now if it's only the names that i should change in the spell list no problem, but if it has something to do with tracking the good values in memory etc well i'll give up.

The extension should in theory work fine. Like Pygar said, spells are going to be the main thing followed by possibly hard coded items in eq2bot. It will be a trial and error process.

i'm on storms, french server, i use eq2bot and eq2harvest (ogreharvest too now) i've translated some xml files and it work fine, I really want to have the craft bot working but it seems so complicated :/

maybe the SVN can have some folders for localized version no ?

Hi there,
for German users i can say, that the translation of the xml-files is not enough to get isxeq2 run in a acceptable way.

However....i patched the sources with some workarounds, so that some healing-, harvest- and crafting scripts worked fine for me.

I never had enough motivation to get eq2bot running....because i didnt need it.

Good luck!
