Is the drone options working properly or do they still get left behind?

The only time they get left behind is if you crash. This has been the case for over a year now.

Does it reload more drones if it gets left behind?

I'm having issues with drone, they wont launch. I check mining drones and made sure that combat drones is check off. When I manually had first lauched them, after a few attempts, my ship retrieved them and docked. Am I doing anything wrong or am I missing something?

I've never gotten the mining drones to work correctly. At best it will launch them, but it will never set them to feed on any rocks.

Another annoying factor is that at every cycle to dump/unload it will pull in all drones, which is desirable when you think of hitting max cargo hold capacity before offload, but not so much when trying to set drones on a manual target =)
