EQ Bot?

I am looking to get back into playing EQ1 for a bit and was wondering if isx had an eq1 bot program or if you would recommend one that ran similarly to eq2bot.

I think BJ is still on hiatus. However, in the mean time you may want to look into EQemu. Although, it's not the bot program you're looking for, if you know how to setup and run a server this gives you equivalent powers of a gm or you can just follow the standard setup for playing on an already established server. These server may give you gm powers or add on bots etc. The program currently fully incorporates Rain of fear expansion, so the only limitation is your choice of server. Plus it's free.

Any update on this? :)
I have been busy with a few other projects and am hoping to have a beta version ready by the end of August. If you are interested in keeping track of what the bot can currently do you can follow the revision history notes located here.

Thanks BJ, with EQN unveiling this week i have been messing around on EQ1 a little and will be excited to run a full group with ISX.

Question, How are you or anyone else getting around the issue of EQ1 not having and actual .exe file? I was messing around with it using ISboxer to just multibox a couple toons manually and it says the .exe doesn't exist and wants to run the launcher every time, Also the path from innerspace says it's not correct.

This project has been delayed without a new ETA. I'll post again when I can give a more accurate ETA.

If you're just wanting to use InnerSpace, I would suggest going to the lavishsoft forums and/or email Lax and ask him the procedure for properly launching EQ1 with InnerSpace and/or isboxer.

Aww... I was looking forward to this BJCasey. When you put this out for us to test, I'll probably head back to EQ1, at least part time =)

Still very interested in this even though it sounds like its a few months away if at all. If anyone knows a good bot program for EQ1 please PM me, MQ2 seems very outdated and archaic.

PS. Yes I know its not summer yet :)

You could probably just hand box a couple of toons with healer mercs. They made mercs so powerful that they outdo some players.

Yeah I could and I might but I want to bot my own toons like in EQ2, it just seems more fun to me. Last i heard the population on EQ1 was actually bigger by a substantial amount than EQ2, just wondered why a bot for it wasn't made sooner I guess.

A few factors:

Game design at the top end doesn't really allow for easy botting.

MQ2 does what a lot of people want.

People who use MQ2 aren't spoiled by OgreBot and don't know better.
