i keep getting this error when i try to do level 95 writs. i dont understand what i am supossed to do to fix it.

"please edit the writcounts.xml file to set the writ quantities for level 95 under______". and it was doing for my tailor, woodworker,provisioner, and alcky. any thoughts

I'm having a similar problem with my Prov using Ogre Craft. I suspect it has something to do with the npc giving us the recipe book when we've already scribed it, as that's the only thing I can think of that has changed in the game recently to do with level 95 writs.

eq2craft and ogrecraft are quite different...

Is this prov issue still happening? I believe it's all been fixed a while ago...

as for the original question, you need to go into (going from memory): innerspace/scripts/eq2craft/(may be a directory here I'm forgetting)/writcounts.xml and add the amount of writs it has to do.

I'm having an issue with the level 60+ Armorsmith writs. It will not find certain recipes even though they are present. Adamantine Melodic Leggings is one. It won't do level 64 writs at all as it won't find the recipes. Any suggestions?

Additional information: unable to find valid recipe for amantine brigandine gloves..Clearly a misspelling that is likely the culprit..no idea where to edit this though Please help!

Hi I am having this problem and when i go in and change it to add the level and the writ counts it asks me if i want to replace i say yes wants me to save it i hit yes then it tells me access denied and will not let me change them. I am trying to do the lvl 91 writs. I notice also when i do the ~ext isxeq2 right before it loads i see something i never noticed before. It reads....

Try saving the file to your desktop then copy and paste it. With Vista and up it's a different process for changing files in the program files and programdata folders.

The long answer is is mostly has to do with the user account control added in Vista and was carried over to 7 and 8. You should be able to run the file editing program (notepad, notepad++, etc) as admin when you open the file and you may be able to save it directly but much easier just to save it to the desktop then copy and replace.

Ok got the writs for 91 to work now. I think i might have edited the wrong one so I found another one edited that and it now works again. Hopefully I can remember where it is for the next set! TY for your help

Still get the error (304) not modified when i load up isxeq2 tho. Maybe its always been there and i never noticed?..LOL

I just checked and I'm getting the same message. If I understand it correctly it's not an issue. From my understanding it's basically saying the file in question hasn't been modified so it's not downloading anything new. Here is something I found looking up the error.


304 Status Code Explained
The 304 status code is sent in response to a request (for a document) that asked for the document only if it was newer than the one the client already had. Normally, when a document is cached, the date it was cached is stored. The next time the document is viewed, the client asks the server if the document has changed. If not, the client just reloads the document from the cache.


sidenote: the 400 and 500 errors are the ones you have to worry about more.
