EQ2 harvest and Aggro

Hi, I have searched the forums and done all the changes recommended to the eq2harvest and moveto files but for some reason I still have a problem with EQ2harvest picking up aggro.

I use EQ2harvest in conjunction with EQ2bot and more often than not EQ2bot will pull a mob and EQ2harvest will try to move to the next node rather than stopping and letting EQ2bot finish off the mob.

Any suggestions?

The changes are correct, however you shouldn't be "pulling mobs" so set yourself as the MT and MA and manual movement. Then take off automatically pull mobs and it works okish. If the bot see's a node and is heading for it the aggro checks will not stop the bot before it gets to the node though.

And make sure you do not have anything in your ignore list in eq2bot. If you are ignoring green/yellow/red mobs and one of those attacks you, it's going to pretend it's not there.

I just set eq2harvest to collect nothing and have it run with eq2bot auto-pulling mobs. Every so often though, like every 30 minutes or so it decides to keep running through nav points instead of stopping for combat.

That's how i have it setup for harvesting in aggro zones, it works well and handles aggro almost perfectly. If it was perfect, it wouldn't need my occasional adjustments, and instead it would find that i'm obsolete, destroy me, then hunt down John Conner.

EQ2Harvest & EQ2Bot were not coded to work together, but thankfully they do. No, you cannot have the perfect harvesting and killing machine that works without user input forever. That's not the point of eq2bot or eq2harvest. They are merely enhancements to make our life easier.

If you do find the settings or if you modify the scripts and get them to work perfectly together, please share with the rest of the class!

yeah i have it working almost perfectly now. I noticed that the problem was that I had it set to loot corpses/chests from my kills but it also would try to loot other people's corpses and chests even if u were in the middle of combat etc.

One simple work-around I found was to create a script the controls eq2harvest. For example, I have eq2harvest look for combat triggers in chat like "Hits you" and such. When they get triggered, eq2harvest eq2echos a trigger to my controller script like "Oh no, something hit me!" and then shuts itself down.

My controller script then waits for combat mode to leave (indicating EQ2bot has done its work) and then runs eq2harvest again.

This is an effective way to harvest and auto-pull at the same time. I admit there are more clever ways to do this but this works for me.
