EQ2BOT - no offensive or debuffs being casted

Hello, When I run EQ2bot everything works fine, except no nuking or debuffs being casted. This is same issue with both my Inquis & warden. Bot will only cast heals & cures when ever needed. Yes i have the boxes offive & debuff checked.

Also when i load eq2bot i get a ton of spells missing which i know I am not missing. I have isntalled this on 2 machines and same prob. Did I somehow mis a install on something, or wrong version? I followed the instructions.

Btw, everythign else seems to work great, follows nice, and heals like a champ.

Anyhelp would be great!

First off - http://www.ismods.com/wiki/index.php/EQ2Bot

That covers lots of configuration issues.

But, to the point.

There are several configuration settings that would cause this behavior.

1. Whoever you set the MA to is not actually targeting a mob. If the MA isn't targeting a mob who is not a PC, and who's health is not below the Assist %, the bot will take no hostile action (it wont enter the combat routine).

2. The MA is set correctly, and the con or difficulty of the mob is of a type that is excluded by the options on the EQ2Bot Options Tab.

Example: The MA is targeting a Yellow heroic encounter. You've unchecked the Ignore Heroic option but left the Ignore Yellow con checked. The bot will not enter the combat routine unless Ignore heroic and Ignore Yellow are both unchecked.

3. The Value in the Assist % field is non-numeric or 0. In this case the mob's health never gets equal to or lower than the stored value. The combat routine is never started.

4. You're character config file is either corrupt or permisions on the file do not allow for IS to make changes. Look in the eq2bot\character config\ folder and open the file that coresponds to your toon's name. Look at the values stored in the XML. Verify the values stored match the value's you've selected in the UI. If things look jumpled, or the values are wrong. Edit them, or delete the file and re-run the bot for a fresh one to be created.

5. You have a c:\scripts\eq2bot folder on your machine. There is an odd bug in Lavish that will include files from the root if the path matches a relative path used in a UI -include command. Solution here is delete c:\scripts or rename it.

Those are all of the reasons to date that can cause the bot to not enter the combat routine. 99 times out of 100, the problem lies in case #2.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the reply!

I will try all the things U listed and let U know the results. Note I have all the ignore boxes even unchecked, never helped. Also the MA & MT box is checked to the PC char, and selected to correct char in group.

REally weird it heals like a champ and cures and such, just no offence, also 1 thing, the warden does cast tranquility when it can.

Thanks again!

The MA and MT boxes should be UNCHECKED and the pull downs chosen to the assigned MA and MT, if those boxes are checked the 2 pulldowns will dissapear and that character is now the MA and MT.

Checking the boxes designates your SELF as the MA and MT. This is only used while soloing with the bot.

I'm pretty sure I remember you pointing this out to Lax and him fixing it and releasing a patch while we were talking to him on IRC one day. Are you sure this still happens?

These do not seem to matter any and the spells are still used regardless if it is askign if its missing.

Pretty sure this was confirmed in chat once upon a time ...

I can confirm that even though it shows missing it still does infact work. If you have your spell book open though when you launch the bot it doesn't show missing spells. I wonder if EQ2Bot could kick open the spell window and have a slight pause to give it time to parse it for info in a similar fashon to how the crafter kicks open the recipie book and your bags to get the info from them.

To get the list accurately, I think you have to open the book and scroll all tabs and pages to be certain.

The list is just some what of a warning. The bot will still use the spells regardless if they are detected. however if you really don't have them, it wont use the lower level version. So not having a spell means your character is doing less than it could.
