Hey all,

Now that hits works with inner space, is there any chance you could update this for EQ2X? It goes live on Tuesday and it doesn't currently work (even with the exe from twonk).

I am out of town next week; however, I will look into things once I return on the weekend.

If it is consistently a different .exe then I'm not sure I will update it every patch -- at least, not until I see that it's going to be successful and that there would be enough isxeq2 users to warrant it.

My suggestion is to play regular EQ2 and avoid this new crap -- especially if you're interested in always having ISXEQ2.

As much as I loved my toons on the other servers I eventually quit to play with people in my local area. Now that the F2p servers are coming up everyone is thinking of playing EQ2 again and coming back from their separate mmos. I think you'll find a good few million on this server and since we can recreate accounts to our hearts content botting will be quite popular. From playing on the beta server I know plenty of people that would want ISXEQ2, so it's just a matter of us waiting on you. (i've already signed up, i just need the update)

Thats not always a positive. People that have throw away accounts do a lot of stuff they normally wouldn't if they had to pay for something, and attract a lot of attention.

The lack of CS may seem like a balancing factor, but only in the short term, since logs and petitions are still made, and if the free service becomes active enough, SOE will trim down on anything that disrupts that service, to keep their dollars flowing.

Do you really think a good few million will come to F2P? I wouldnt put this on F2P for the same reason posted, if I started going on there I know I would harvest the shit out of zones without discretion, making sure I take all harvests every few hours before the GMs come to ban me and remove my harvests.. after all you just have to make a new account right?

Not good. Same goes with unattended eq2botting =/ F2P seems like a playground much like private servers where you dont have much responsbility, perhaps you could get a private license for a small amount of people.

Maybe we can help curve people into the regular servers by only allowing EQ2x onto paid servers

Freerealms alone has 13million players, with the reputation everquest has I would put that as at least a million players. Plus a lot of players will flock from the live servers to F2P to play with their friends. A restriction that was always a problem in the past if you had created toons on a different server to a buddy.

Botting will be a problem - even though F2P players don't get GM support - i'm sure there'll be there to support the platinum players. Even though you can buy your mastercrafted on Station Marketplace I'm sure most players will find investing in ISXEQ2 instead a more worthy spend for their dollar.

Personally, I don't think it's going to be that popular. Sure initially it's probably going to have a descent bit of people playing because it's free. But once people realize that they will end up having to pay more to get the same content that is on the live servers and that they can never switch to the live servers, I look for it to die pretty quickly.

You will always have some people on there playing only on the free part of it so that they don't have to pay, I just seriously doubt it will be anything like 1 million. I don't even think EQ2 has that many subscribers right now.
