Executeable mismatch?

Hi!
I want to start out by saying I have tried everything I could think of doing before I posted here for help lol. If someone could help me out with my problem I would be very thankful.

I had installed isxeq2 and isxeq2bot just fine and it was working for about a week but then I think I patched the game using my icon on my desktop like a dumbass .

I now get a huge blue box saying....

" Your version of EverQuest2.exe does not match this build of ISXEQ2.
This particular build of ISXEQ2 was designed to work with the first EverQuest2.exe that was patched
on December 18, 2012. You should *SHUTDOWN* the game and then download the correct version of EverQuest2.exe
from 'https://www.isxgames.com/isxeq2/exe' and place it in your EverQuest 2 installation directory
(Please note, this is NOT your InnerSpace installation directory!) If you did not indicate a specific
installation directory when you originally installed EQ2, then you may want to try
C:/ProgramData/Sony Online Entertainment/Installed Games/EverQuest II or
C:/Users/Public/Sony Online Entertainment/Installed Games/EverQuest II.)


If this is a patch day, and the client is 'forcing' you to update, then you will need to be patient and
wait for a new version of ISXEQ2 to be released. When it is ready, it will patch automatically when you load ISXEQ2.
So, just keep trying to load it every once in a while or join us on IRC at irc.lavishsoft.com (channel #isxeq2),
or visit http://www.isxgames.com/support.html. (NOTE: All ISXEQ2 updates are announced on IRC as soon as
they are released"


I have tried following the instructions many time and even have tried to reinstall but I still am getting the same blue box.

Don't know what I can do to get me up and running again.

If anyone that can help me needs more info please let me know

When you launch EverQuest 2 with innerspace, is the patcher running? Or, does EverQuest 2 just start right up without the patcher?

Did you read the instructions at http://www.isxgames.com/isxeq2/exe ? In other words, are you properly unzipping the file and are you putting it in the right location? (That page has instructions on determining exactly where the .exe should go.)

If you are putting EverQuest2.exe in the right directory (overwriting the one that is there) AND if you're running EverQuest 2 with innerspace WITHOUT running the patcher (i.e., Innerspace is launching EverQuest2.exe, not EQ2.exe), then it will definitely work.


The only other thing I know to do, if you can't follow these instructions, is to install Teamviewer software and PM/email me with your computer information so I can fix it for you.

After a hour of trying to be all crazy and re-installing..

I followed your post and what I was doing was just like you said .. I had configured it to launch eq2.exe instead of everquest2.exe.

I am up and running again. Thanks Amadeus!
