Fishing tips with eq2ogreharvest

So I'm trying to get harvesting cloak done, I've never really bothered with fishing but how do the nodes for fishing work?

Are they always along the coast or can they be further in the water? Any tips for mapping out fishing areas? At 100 fishing now and prefer to let the bot raise my skill than me running up and down coasts..

almost always they are along the coast , there is a maximum depth they will spawn at.

I'm currently using nek forest (harvesting cloak) and I managed to map all up and down the river while mapping the other zone, forcing the bot to run along the river so its been good for raising fishing..

Although it seems other maps arent as nifty as that and have few coastline fish nodes and they're out of the way.

the nodes for fishing work like any other node, not sure what you mean.
they tend to be along the coast.
some zones are more fishing friendly than others.
shaman water walking doesnt really help since the nodes arent necessarily on the bottom (if thats what hendrix is talking about, who knows).

even botting fishing is tedious to level, have fun.

There is also a tinkered belt that allows you to walk on water as well. Forget its name but it doesn't take a high tinkering skill to make one.

The suggestion is to use the shaman's water walking.

Meh, prefer not to two box cause of memory leak, I use 2nd account to farm valuable resources.. I am a max tinker I will get the tinkering belt, thanks for the suggestions.

Fishing isnt going so bad, nek was good for me and now zek/enchanted lands isnt bad.. see how the rest go.

Not sure how you mean the nodes for fishing are like any other, as some have already said the nodes arent that far off the coast, usually along the coast, so fishing nodes are different.. because they are in the water.. every other node can be all over the land.. fishing nodes arent all over the water it seems.

Actually, in regards to fishing and pathing with harvesting mapping. I've come into some sort of stupid problems with my bot getting stuck in water going back and forth then shutting off..

I thought it was because I had the tinkering belt on (different levels of mapping in water - ontop and at the bottom?) so I took the belt off, but still sometimes in different zones will have it cnstantly walk back and forth on same spot in the water as if it's trying to get somewhere..

I thought it was mapping so I'd map the spot over and over on how to get out of the water but never fails to get stuck in the same spot..

any ideas?

It's trying to get to a spot above or below you, and it can't. Auto run doesn't handle going up or down in water.

Yeah, so fishing isnt very good with this program. Good thing I hate fishing, was only doing it for the cloak, I've since then turned it off (completed cloak) but I think some of the pathing from fishing has messed up my maps.. /slit
