I just saw four toons on flying mounts ascend straight into the sky; and I said to myself "ogre boxer".

It stands out like dogs balls.

"ogre botter" would be more correct.

However.. it's simply pressing 1 key down, any kind of repeater software can do this, they don't have to be botting at all...

I beg to differ, boxers using key repeaters would almost certainly be using EQ2 autofollow and taking off in a more natural way. It is most likely to be someone using something that replaces autofollow with its own follow, is there another Ogre out there?

Umm, how about IS Boxer key repeater and then hitting spacebar. Ogre users probably take off in that very same "more natural way" by and large.

I very rarely use OFollow. Most of the time I'm just using the eq2 follow. I don't think I'd look any different taking off from a real boxer.

I suspect he meant someone using the "Fly-Up" button. Either way... something as basic as seeing 4 people flying up together isn't proof of someone botting..

Possible but not necessarily... how many people who use ogre actually use fly up? Don't most people hit f-follow and use in game auto follow for flying outdoors (and water and such?) More likely to be a key repeater in use, actually.

I just turned off Ogre on my 5 toons. Put them all on autofollow my tank and then hit the space bar on the tank ...

All flying mounts followed my tank straight up in the air. Just using the in game follow...

I dont understand why you think only bots/isxboxer is being used in your example?
