Please wait for Amadeus to update the ISXEQ2 extension to work with the current client.. In the mean time patch your game fully and humbly wait.. can take between 6 and 72 hours, so grab your popcorn and soda.

(whoot i beat pygar to it!)

Did this patch mess with subscriptions at all, or is my case isolated? Seems both at work and at home I am getting messages saying I cant use more than 3 computers (which i dont).

Strange, I came home from work and I again got the message about more than 3 subscriptions (on the machines i normally run) and I went out for a few hours and come home and now its saying I need the exe from march 13, am I alone on this one? Any help would be appreciated.

No message here about only 3 computers. I do get an extra message that says: "Could not create domain called ISXEQ2. Could not execute assembly. isxGamesPatcher: Finished" Other than that, the patching/loading/authentication process is working normally for me.

Jimshoe, if you get that message about licenses.. make sure you aren't using different NICs to connect to the internet. I was using wireless at work and plugged in at home on my laptop which got it to register as two computers :/

Other than that - i dunno what could be wrong ;)

The only thing I have done lately was install 2 new wireless NIC cards on the 2 primary PCs I use. Other than that the only thing which may have skewed my IP would be use Peer Guardian. I dont really use Peer Guardian while playing, although I did launch EQ2 while it was running the other day, so maybe that has something to do with it, if this is indeed an issue where ISX really believes I have logged into more than 3 machines.

I mailed Amadeus about it, hopefully I can get it running again.

Jimshoe,

When you're contacting the license server, you're sending a signature. That signature is affected by the NIC you are using so you might use 2 computers, but if you use 2 new NICs on those computers you would send 2 new signatures to the license server which then responds that you're trying to use more than 3 licenses ;)

Either wait 24 hours or let Amadeus wipe your signatures.. and remember to stick to the same NICs when using isxeq2

Isn't it supposed to check for persistent connections and not just connections period?

I haven't played since patch and now the servers are down. Has Amadeus posted an update? If so, what .exe are we using?

Thanks.

If you do it right, you'll never have to use that .exe repository.. When patch day comes, and it forces you to patch cause you cant use the outdated .exe, then you use the patcher. After that you dont use the patcher again until the next forced patch update..

Ama only updates the extension when theres a force patch, so the updated ext always corresponds to the date of of the forced patch, and if you only patch on forced patch day then you will never need to ask .exe cause you'll always have it.. but I guess if you like to patch inbetween those force patch days then you better write down the dates of each forced patch day so you remember..

Sorry for the rant but figured some people never thought of this concept (atleast ones who ask about .exes)

And yes the update has been posted.

First of all, thanks for the response...but no one made you answer. You are just a user like me (albeit more computer inclined), but a user nonetheless. Why are you getting upset? it isn't justified, nor do I care.

These programs are incredible, and I have huge respect for the guys who code them ( too many to list)! But you don't have any right to try to flame me for asking if I need to update the .exe.
