Forced patch 9/13/2011?

Hello all,

After the hotfix yesterday, I ran the patcher, then loaded through Innerspace. I got the usual message that it gives when there is a forced patch. It is still not working today, and I have seen no mention of a forced patch on this forum. Just wondering if I need to wait for the newest binary file, or do I have a different problem?

Why did you patch before you saw that it was a forced patch? There was no forced patch yesterday, ISXEQ2 was never broken and still works. You need to download the appropriate binary from twonks (20110908).

I did exactly as I was instructed. (I downloaded the correct binary file from twonk) I am still getting the same message. This is happening on all three of my comps.

Unzip it and put it in your EverQuest 2 directory.

Be sure that you're launching EverQuest2.exe in innerspace ....and never EQ2.exe.

If you do these things, it will work. Otherwise, paste the exact error message that you are receiving.

And, next time please read instructions carefully. The installation instructions for ISXEQ2 specifically state not to run the patcher until the game requires you to do so. You should NEVER run the "EQ2.exe" patcher until the game refuses to run with the EverQuest2.exe that you have already.

I downloaded the file linked by Ama on all three comps, and unzipped them into my eq2 directory...still getting the same message. I only run EQ2 through Innerspace when I intend to craft. Otherwise, I load through the regular launcher. I have never had a problem swapping between the two in tha past. I can load through the launcher, log out, and load through Innerspace...and everything works fine. So, I don't know exactly what I am doing wrong. I repeat this same process every time there is a hotfix, so I am familar with what to do. I would post the exact error message, but now, after loading/extracting the binary...I can't log in through Innerspace. I am getting: Login rejected. The client's version does not match the server's. Please exit and rerun the patcher.
