Been reading the boards here and other places... sounds like VG has made some vast improvements. I'm bored of WoW/EQ2 and thinking of coming back, just had a quick question. The slow rate of travel was one of my biggest turnoffs in VG, does anyone still use the +speed boost in ISXVG? I hear using the Port feature has got a lot of people banned and I imagine Afterburner the same. But I wouldn't imagine the +speed would considering it was around the same as bard speed.

Also, to someone coming back after a 1 year break... where is a good place to go quest/solo for gear? Or even small group stuff? I left off at Swamp armor/Hegnerian.

I used/use speed/afterburner/port constantly with no problems. Hell, my private version even has the ability to port ANYWHERE on Vanguard. It's all about not being stupid.

And, yes, VG is *much* better than before. Start a new character on the "newbie island" and play it up ..you'll not believe it is the same game you played before.
