I was just playing this morning no problems I shut down to go shopping and when I came back I cant seem to get ISX going. It just keeps getting stuck on the isxGamesPatcher : Starting part. This is after it claims everything loads and it checks my sub so it has to have some sort of a connection. Nothings changed on my network and in theory everything should be the same but just in case I restarted my computer, router, and cable mode nothing helped. Any one have any ideas? I have been stuck this time at this step for 45mins.

I assume you've closed down that session and reopened it?

What is odd, is it seems the patching for both isxeq2 AND isxogre are getting stuck, or at least neither one of them completed in that screen shot.

I'd try restarting your entire computer, I don't have much of an idea otherwise.

Im still trying to figure out the problem my current lead is a message I saw in the windows even manager "The Procedure entry point _except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll" It was generated early this morning when innerspace.exe was ran but its funny because that was before I played. So I opened eq2 it crashed gave me that message auto closed it then loaded eq2 perfectly. I keep just trying to trouble shoot things one by one I also tried to copy a friends innerspace folder over to see if it was in my innerspace folder /grin yea umm no luck B-) Ill just keep playing with this msvcrt.dll file and see if I can get everything to work. Also try system restore without any luck.

I started getting the Everquest2.exe entry point not found-"The Procedure point _entry_excepthandler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll" notification a couple of days ago. I couldn't find any info on my search for the problem, but it didn't cause any crashes.

After being able to use /eq2bot and /craft successfully before, today it no longer worked, giving me the same issue here, with the patcher sticking at the starting point and giving me the error "Debuging Disabled- Ending EQ2Bot!"

Omg thank god I'm not alone. Its weird Everquest 2 runs perfectly from laucher or .exe but when ran from innerspace just gives the stupid msvcrt.dll message and acts like its loading but gets stuck on the patching part of isx. I did the following stuff trying to fix this issue and I still am not any closer:

restarted computer, restarted cable modem, restarted router, got the msvcrt.dll from the windows install (windows xp pro 64bit) and used the recovery console to copy it over thinking it was the file (btw make sure u backup old one other wise u get a blue screen loop if the new one is the wrong one, installed the latest windows updates, uninstalled everquest2 and ran iobit.com's registry cleaner and system deep clean then restarted and redownloaded and installed, removed antivirus thinking it had a false positive somewhere and auto removing stuff, picked a few system restore points one of them a month ago. Still nothing and its 5am and I cant think of anything else I can try other then reinstalling windows but a friend lets me use this computer so thats not really an option, oh also copied all the innerspace stuff from my computer that is working.

Is there any way to reverse a ISX update I wanted to try to see if isx would work if removed the last patch the Build 5658. Was just a thought last time I had a crashing issue it was the last isx update and once it was fixed and I updated to the fixed patch everything worked again.

From: http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/files/msvcrt/20015/
Process name: Msvcrt.dll = Microsoft C Runtime Library

Why is msvcrt.dll giving me errors?
Process related issues are usually related to problems encountered by the application that runs it. The safest way to stop these errors is to uninstall the application and run a system scan to automatically identify any unused processes and services that are using up valuable resources.

The fact that you have one computer that works, and one that does not means that something is different. Maybe you have different software installed? (especially something like antivirus software, or similar 'scanning' or 'drivers' type software.) Are both operating systems the same and are both fully updated with Windows Updates? Etc....etc...

Are you using the same build of innerspace on both? If you right click the innerspace icon and select 'patcher' you should see the version and build number.

Something has to be different between the two computers. You have to figure that out.

Yes, hardwarewise they are allot different, but everything works except ISX. I have had it running isx/ogre for months without any issues and now after trying all that stuff I said it just refuses to work even after reinstalling eq2 and isx. I'm wondering if the new update is having an conflicting issue with either the OS or hardware. But pinkyluv420 is also having the same issue about the same time as the last update. So the chance of both computers having the exact same issue with the same error message after the last update is very unusual.

Jagamata and leverage also are having issues with this stupid error their posts are in this area:

EverQeust2.exe - Entry Point Not Found

Anyway have an suggestions? So thats 4 people (also pinkyluv420 from earlier posts) so far but 0 fixes they said if u delete the d3d11.dll it fixes error but then it still gets stuck on patching. I have been trying to fix this for 12 hours now and still no luck. B-(

I hope someone figures it out, I got the same problem on my second pc, and like pinkyluv420 I've had that pop up entry point error for weeks and had no issues once i clicked it off. The system was a fresh install of windows xp & I only run 1 session of eq2 on it. That's the only use for the computer. I did look up the entry point error and all I found was people seemed to think it was related to a firefox install that overwrote a dlll file.

Which version of Windows are you using? Is Firefox installed? What anti-virus software are you using?

I hope they figure it out aswell but there are 6 of us so far that I have seen in 2 different posts with the same stuck at patching issue. As for Firefox I don't even have it on the computer that's having the issue. I cant raid until I get this working and I already spend 12 hours trying everything from restoring the file from the windows install disc to fresh install of eq2/isx/innerspace. Its very frustrating how something works perfectly then just dies and refuses to work again. Even more so when your paying a subscription.

People with the issue so far:
Leon
Jagamata
leverage
leatherwolf
pinkyluv420

Well, first of all, XP was deprecated years ago ..you should upgrade to windows 7. It could very well be that there are things that EQ2 and/or innerspace are doing separately (or together) that won't support an operating system that was replaced 5 1/2 years ago.

Lax said that you can try installing an older version of innerspace to see if that is the issue: http://www.lavishsoft.com/innerspace/archives ...just be sure that you don't click the 'patch' button to update it.

I'm downloading a windows xp vmware image to see if I can duplicate it.
