Initial SetUp of MCP

Totally new to Ogre. I run my tank on seperate computer and other 5 group toons on the other. I start ogre and open MCP on all toons, but when I use the commands on my main computer nothing happens (ex: Jump). They all follow me and attack, but that's of course just the bot itself...Could someone tell me how to initially set up MCP? I'm sure I'm just not doing something that is probably common knowledge, but I'm noobish =(
Looked for a guide or video like the one to set up isx and ogre itself, but couldn't find anything on MCP set up...ty for any help.

BTW, I have all my characters set up in the EQ2Chars.inc file on both computers, didn't know if I needed to, but sure it can't hurt.

TY, must have just missed it when I set up. I believe I got my computers linked correctly, but could you tell me how to set up one function to work, then I'm sure I can use that example to set up others.

Mostly interested in campspot atm, I see the button there, but each time I press it, it asks me who and distance. How do I get it to tell the whole group to stay on a dime? and after a figth, how do I tell them to release that spot?

Again, thank you for the help!

hit campspot and hit enter twice, all will stop where they are.

to get them to release that campspot, hit let's go

or, use campspot and joust in/out to help with exploding types of mobs

there's also a pre-defined "cs-dft" which is just campspot with the defaults.

Thanks, I figured out why it's not working for me...my computer with the tank isn't showing up as one of the IP's connected to MCP...any suggestions? I accepted the "recommended" settings for everything from windows 7, so maybe that is putting up a security shield or something?

Yes, I have both computers on there example..on computer-1 I edited my eq2chars.inc to say uplinkinfor for [computer-2] and on computer-2 it says [computer-1], but when I hit showIP on the MCP, only computer-2 shows up, regardless of which computer I hit the showIP from.
So I believe my 5 toons (on computer-2) are waiting for commands from my tank (on computer-1), but that computer is not uplinking for some reason, so the commands don't get over to them.

Anyone got any ideas of what it might be?

Did you type remoteuplink -connect Computor name

You are hitting "Connect" on the MCP at some point to connect them correct? Assuming you are, there is a link in the wiki (under FAQ and help) regarding connecting uplinks or multiple computers. It has some suggestions on things to check if you are unable to connect.
If you can't find the page, let me know and I'll look up exactly what it's called when I get home, but should be easy enough to find on the FAQ and help page of the wiki.

Yaay, all working now. It was the setup in isx, had the wrong computer name in there. Thank you everyone for the help, I learned some good things just from this. Now I just need my group to not be gimp =P
Anyone have suggestions on where to farm to get my gear up a little. I can do most of the SS zones, but UD (normal) is kicking my arse!
