Melee classes into melee range

The only way I can get the assassin to get up in melee range is to not have any of the bot movement buttons on in the settings tab and just have him autofollow my guardian. When I enable any of those movement settings he stops following and attacks from range.

What am I doing wrong?

Check the following:
Move into melee range
Move behind mob

Then on the Setup tab, make sure you have an appropriate number for themove into melee range (I think default is 99).

If what Kannkor said didn't fix your issue, check to make sure that lockforeground is on in the innerspace config console.

So I changed it to 99. I have three bots with me, 1 of them it works perfectly for. The other two not so much.

I will try the lock foreground today.

I am having the same problem. I have melee attack, move into melee range, and move behind mob checked on the appropriate toons. They are all set to move to attack range at 99% in setup.

I set the CS-JI-JO spot and they all hold still there... i move and pull a mob a few meters away. They all engage in ranged combat. I then hit the JI button on the MCP and nothing. They just continue to attack form range.

Any ideas on what else we may have missed?

when you use CS-JI-JO only smelee clases will move in all other clases will always stay out no matter what. You didnt say what classes you have so.

group consists of zerker tank,

the rest are casters except for a troub, does a troub count as a true melle class?

Is there anyway to get them ALL to joust into melle range regardless of class?

entire group is zerker, coercer, fury, wizard, and the troub.

Thanks again for your help.

Ohhhh, one other question about camp spot... if they get feared or ported or knockback.... do they attempt to make their way back to that spot?

you can use camp spot then all will joust in or out when you press it and if they are jousted out yes they will go back to campspot but they must be jousted out or is you have move to melee they should go in. and yes trube is meelee

Well, the question remains then. The troub is not responding to the joust in button after ive set him in his camp spot... he just kinda waggles back and forth a little bit and continues to shoot arrows and cast spells. when i hit joust out he stops the waggling and continues casting and ranged attacking.

I tried the camp spot option instead as well with the same results. They all just do that quick left to right motion and continue casting spells and not moving in to melee range.

As I said in a previous post I have melee attack, move into melee range, and move behind the mob selected on all the toons in question. and they are all set to move to attack range at 99%.

I just cant figure what I might be missing. I have tried fiddling with those options, (turning some on and off during battle) to see if I can find the proper combination to get them to move into melee range and start wacking but nothing seems to work.

The bigger proglem actually seems to be the move into melee range and move behind a mob options under settings. Are these options when selected supposed to have the bots continue to move and position themselves if you reposition the mob? Because for me currently once I engage in combat the bots stop moving and thats it. They wont come back to me or the mob until combat is over no matter what i do.

Insanity!!!!!

Thank you SO much!!!!!

This has been driving me crazy for the better part of two days and of course the answer was simple and right in front of my nose.

Thank you again for pointing out my mistake and finally allowing me to use the feature that made me want to try Ogre in the first place.
